We had walked by this restaurant the previous day and my husband was impressed by the quality of the food that was served in the outside area. The next day, we stopped in for lunch. Had a nice menu even accommodating my desire for a light lunch. Husband loved his cobb chopped salad and the French fries were crisp and crunchy and we found out had a old bay seasoning on them. He is a FF lover, so they met his expectations. Only negative is that they don't take Amex.

O'Brien's was recommended to our group of travelers for their oysters. However, the waitress was unable to tell us anything about the different types of oysters. If you are from out of town and know nothing about oysters - this is a problem. Instead I ordered the fish of the day - Maryland's state fish, the Rockfish. The member of our party who ordered oysters was told that they were out of the type she ordered, so she ordered another kind - once again with very little guidance from the waitress. The Rockfish was a tiny bland little piece of fish for almost 25$. I had a bad feeling when we went in and were the only people eating there. There are way better pub type and seafood places to dine at in Annapolis. I wish I'd left.

We ate outside and the people watching was great. The restaurant was slammed but the service was not too bad. the steamed mussels appetizer was delicious and the tuna entree was excellent as well.

We enjoyed crab cake sandwiches here, and also eating outdoors on a clear May afternoon. But the service was only so so. When we didn't want an appetizer, the server disappeared for quite a while, and after taking our order, she wasn't seen again until, as we were finishing, we were asked if we wanted more iced tea. We did, and it came--at the same time as the check. Expensive crab cake due to market prices, but up gun the service if you want a higher rating.
