Specialties include smoked fish of the day (on premise), cream of crab and Maryland crab soups and an extensive list of crab and seafood specialties. The First Lady came from the White House to enjoy our crab cakes. The Boatyard has the most extensive raw bar in the area including a variety of oysters, clams, shrimp and mussels. The Boatyard receives awards for being most family friendly and having the best burger on the Bay. Its weekend brunch is the best in the area. The Boatyard is located in the historic maritime district of Eastport-a short walk or water taxi from Annapolis City Docks. Its photo boat films the local sailing races and shows them nightly. Named by Coastal Living, Sailing World and Sail Magazine as one of world's top sailing/boating restaurants.

I have been to all of them...see some of my other reviews if you are interested, but this is all you need to know - Boatyard is a great casual restaurant! Went based on some other recommendations and was not disappointed. Had the "surf and turf" - filet mignon and crabcake - excellent! They even have Old Bay in a shaker at the table. My wife had the "fish on!" swordfish - also excellent. The calamari app was delicious. The restaurant is in Eastport - less "touristy" than downtown Annapolis and best of all - we didn't wait for a table! We will go back again to this gem.

I loved this restaurant for the casual ambience, good and affordable food and attentive waitstaff---what more can I say. It contrasted so much w/less than stellar experience at O'Leary's where waiter was indifferent and food was ok but so much more expensive.

The Boatyard is just across the harbor in Eastport -take the water taxi over and walk back. The food is good ,the seafood is fresh ,the selections plentiful and varied.Service was prompt and friendly ,and the prices are reasonable.
However ,it is somewhat "rustic",and very loud. The room we were in was virtually a "din",and you could hardly hear the people you were with at your table.
It is not a romantic ,fine dining spot at all .If you're looking for a good meal at a reasonable price then come here .If you're looking for linen napkins , tablecloths and quiet -go somewhere else.
