We visited Annapolis early August 2014 and took the trolley tour. The driver pointed this option out and we decided to give it a try. It was parents weekend at the US Naval Academy, so it was a bit crowded but no wait for our party of 5. Food was excellent, we recommend the open faced Crab sandwich! Service was slower than we would have expected, but it was very crowded so we chalked it up to over worked kitchen! Very clean, nice decor and walking distance from downtown Annapolis.

Ordered the scallops, fish and chips and grilled fish. All were really good. Ordered the shrimp for appetizer, which was also excellent except that it had an inordinate amount of onions for whatever reason. Still, it was very tasty. Very patient and pleasant staff with our 2 yrs old. Was a very good experience

No great shakes, the lunch crab cakes full of lump meat but a little on the small side. The Cole slaw not to my taste with too much green pepper in the mix, it overpowers the flavor of the slaw. Cream of Crab soup could have had more flaver. Overall it was just Okay.

I'm usually pretty picky about Crabcakes but The Boatyard's is my new favorite!! Large with lump crab meat & perfect seasoning. The sauce whic was served on the side was also delicious & the perfect complement to the Crabcake!

I love this place. Great atmosphere, terrific location, and the food is incredible. Nothing extraordinary: it is a maritime themed bar and restaurant serving pretty standard fare (steaks, chicken, seafood, etc.), but the quality is extremely high. I especially love their crab cakes and steaks. My most recent visit at a table at the bar with friends from work was no exception, decent service, terrific food, good drinks (brought quickly).
