Description: The Boatyard is where local sailors, fishermen and lovers of the Chesapeake enjoy pint drinks, great crab cakes and the freshest local seafood. Specialties include smoked fish of the day (on premise), cream of crab and Maryland crab soups and an extensive list of crab and seafood specialties. The First Lady came from the White House to enjoy our crab cakes. The Boatyard has the most extensive raw bar in the area including a variety of oysters, clams, shrimp and mussels. The Boatyard receives awards for being most family friendly and having the best burger on the Bay. Its weekend brunch is the best in the area. The Boatyard is located in the historic maritime district of Eastport-a short walk or water taxi from Annapolis City Docks. Its photo boat films the local sailing races and shows them nightly. Named by Coastal Living, Sailing World and Sail Magazine as one of world's top sailing/boating restaurants.

This is our go to place for a easy dinner, lunch or breakfast! Food is always good! Family friendly. The bar is noisy and the place to go to watch a game! It's better to walk to this restaurant . Park in the Main Street gargage , walk over the Spa Creek bridge and the two blocks up Seven Ave. You will enjoy the water views walking over. They are known for the crab cakes. Enjoy a little Eastport!

Me and my wife took her brother and his wife here for dinner. The Mussells were over cooked the fish had a ton of breading on it and looked like it had been cooked in very old grease. My wife had the cocunut shrimp and they were in the same condition as the fish. The food we could tolerate but the service was the worst, our server ( I use the term server loosely) had to be waived down or chased down to get anything other than our meal, like another beer, really!!! It was a Monday evening and there were more servers in the place than patrons so there was no excuse for her behavior. I can only say dont go here on Monday.

We were introduced to the Boatyard by locals last year. We are sure to stop by at least once every time we are in town. Our last visit followed a week long cruise around the Bay. We celebrated the completion of the trip and got our land legs back while getting excellent (and patient) service - highlights included the fresh fish and local draft beers. I would also recommend the lobster roll, card dip and bloody mary.

Had a good family dinner here. Was a bit over priced. $11 for 4 coconut shrimp was a bit much. Crab cakes were good, as were the scallops. Service was good as well. As always, parking is a challenge in Annapolis.

We were looking for a "new" restaurant in Annapolis for Sunday brunch and discovered Boatyard Bar & Grill. My husband and I were meeting our son and a friend of his visiting from Connecticut.

The three out of four of us (my son's friend is a strict vegetarian) shared very good size, succulent raw oysters on the half shell (Boatyard had several different varieties), yummy homemade cornbeef hash, the best shrimp and grits my husband has ever had (including mine), and my wonderful crabmeat omelet which was served with very well seasoned red potato home fries and delicious multi-grain bread. The coffee was outstanding. Bloody Mary's (my husband enjoyed his) and Mimosa's were offered for $2 each until 10:00 a.m. on weekends.

The menu is extensive with portions that are more than sufficient; the service was very good; the atmosphere and decor were perfect for at least families, friends, and couples with the exception of sitting right next to the raw bar (clattering plates periodically) and there is an option of outdoor seating; the values were excellent compared to other brunch menus in the area; the restaurant is located on "the other side of the bridge" from the historical downtown area; there is a very small parking lot directly in front of the restaurant, but plenty of on-the-street parking on that particular day and at that particular time (Sunday, 7/20 at 9:30 a.m.).
