The restaurant itself is good. If you're looking for an off the beaten path seafood place this is a great pick. It's on the water and there is outdoor seating. Dining area is a little small for the crowds it draws and parking is typically a mess.

Being seated at the deck and watching the creek and some customers docking their boat itself is a great incentive to be there...we ordered the broiled crab cake...all of us felt that this was the best ever...fresh and tender meat...golden broiled top...we could see that the other customers were happily pounding the crabs to eat the meat and it looked very fresh.
the lot can fit in at least 50 cars and it was already packed when we arrived at 11.45 am on Saturday...the fried green tomatoes were ok...too tangy and not firm enough...the fun builds as we get the opportunity to head to the lower level and check out the blue crabs that are in the baskets and watch the ducks in the creek ..

We were visiting our niece in DC but made time to go to Cantler's before the drive to DC. (Can you tell we think it's worth the drive?) We have been there before, but we always enjoy their crab cakes. My husband and I share a platter of two large crab cakes that are 99% lump crab meat. Delish! Almost no cartilage...just succulent lump crab. We went on a Sunday afternoon and expected a long wait, but just happened to get there at the right time. Sharing a long communal table is different (I got bombed by someone's flying shell as he used his mallet.) but fun if you have a sense of humor. If you are ever in the area, you won't be disappointed if you go.

A little bit off the beaten track but well worth the visit (probably a 10 minute drive from Annapolis). Was busy when we arrived so I feared the worst but no worries, they seated us outside with no wait time at a perfect table with a great view of the bay. 3 of us had steamed crabs (large), not cheap but they never are and it's an occasional treat. 1had fried shrimp which was very generous portion. Bill came to $165 (+tip). Will definitely repeat.

Excellent location and good communal atmosphere. Nice crabs and spice with decent beer options. Service was a bit hit and miss : some very professional; others hardly trained. Reasonable prices. Would probably go again if in the area
