“Never disappoints!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 26, 2014

On Main Street in Annapolis, just up from the harbor, is Chick & Ruth's Delly. It never disappoints even when you have to wait because it is fairly cramped inside but with the fun atmosphere and non-stop entertainment, you hardly notice. Uncle Teddy comes around to visit and serve, check on your meals, and of course, do the most mind-blowing magic tricks. The food is amazing, large portions, fabulous deli pickles to munch on, and the shakes are out of this world huge!! You have to see them to believe them! We were lucky enough to be there during an "encore" of the Pledge of Allegiance and it really does make you happy to participate with your fellow diners and American citizens. We need more moments in our lives like saying the Pledge together.

This place never disappoints and I cannot imagine eating anywhere else in downtown Annapolis.

“What a (crazy) (good) place!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 22, 2014

My wife and I went here last weekend under the whole "you gotta go" advice from the locals. It was BUSY! And Crazy! I like the whole political theme of the menu and how they start the day with the Pledge of Allegiance, that's a nice touch. But right after that it goes crazy! I had the 1/2 pound crab cake which was probably the best I've ever had. My wife had the pastrami rueben type sandwich which she said was just OK. I did get a milkshake though and I would recommend everyone try a malted extra-thick milkshake, it's the bomb. I tried to make it back for breakfast but our plans didn't work out. Definitely next time. I also want to bring my kid and order the huge milkshakes. Maybe just get two straws!

“An Annapolis must-do”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 21, 2014

We've been visiting Chick & Ruth's for three decades. Love their patriotism and dedication - Pledge of Allegiance every morning, and they've never closed due to weather. Local ambience, great deli food.
