We (my wife and I and our 19 year-old daughter) were in Annapolis for a weekend visit. Our Sunday morning breakfast was at Chick and Ruth's based on other tripadvisor reviews. We arrived at 9:00 and the place was packed. We didn't have to wait for a table but there didn't seem to be any other open tables when we were seated. The restaurant is very narrow and the tables are close together but this seems to add to the atmosphere. The service is very prompt and attentive and our waitress was very friendly.
My wife ordered the Crab Cake Eggs Benedict and she loved it! On the way out she picked up one of the to-go menus as she plans to order some of the crab cakes for home delivery. I ordered scrambled eggs, sausage, and home fries and it was delicious. My daughter ordered a chocolate chip waffle, and of course she loved it!
A nice surprise for us was at 9:30 when an announcement came over the speaker to ask everyone to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. This was very cool. Everyone participated and then cheered. I've never experienced that before in a restaurant. It is very unique and patriotic.
We were in and out of the restaurant in about 40 minutes. Although they were very busy we never felt rushed. The food was great and on the way out we picked up a few baked goods to take home. The prices are very reasonable.
The next time we are in Annapolis we will make it a point to get breakfast at Chick and Ruth's Delly. It is worth the trip.
