This is a wonderful restaurant that one does not expect to find in a strip mall next to the Dollar Store, but there is nothing budget about this place. It is not a chain and the menu is perhaps too extensive, but it was jam-packed on a Saturday night. It is not near DTA so it is a locals place.
There are many tapas to choose from. One of my favorites was the portobello mushrooms. The ropes viejas (Cuban) were popular at our table. The paella is generously packed with seafood and they serve generous single portions of it. They also have warm fresh rolls along with chips depending on what you order. Needless to say, the food was excellent, the service above par, and the sangria good. The vast array of choices can be overwhelming, but there wasn't anything bad on the menu. It is not a chic DC or NYC eatery, but more of a family run and family feel restaurant. Mercifully, it is not a greasy Tex-Mex. if you appreciate good solid Spanish food, this is a great find. Many repeat customers there and totally understandable!
