Jalapeno's is truely a hidden jewel. It is tucked between a books store and dollar tree, but walking through the door is like a wormhole. The place is very nice inside and the food is excellent. Go with a bunch of friend and do the Tappas. Everyone has been good.

They also have excellent Sangria and the Happy hour specials can't be beat for quality.

I recommend it!

The is an unbelievable Spanish restaurant. From the outside, it looks like a low rate restaurant in a strip mall next to the Dollar Store (no kidding). BUT...step inside and you are transported into another world. Beautiful dining room, EXCELLENT food, lively bar...even locals don't know about it. I lived here 10 years before going in and now it is among our favorites. RESERVATIONS are a must...big restaurant with a bigger following.

This is unlike any "Mexican" food you've ever had so don't think "Mexican" before you try it. Ask the server for specialties and go with it. Very flavorful and unique with strong Spanish influence. Manager/owner Gonzalo is often greeting and assisting in the kitchen and serving. Tapas are all incredible.

We go to Jalapenos frequently- it's a great local out-of-the-way place. You wouldn't expect such good food in a strip mall that also contains a Home Depot, cheap buffet restaurant and a lamp store, but it's there. The paella is okay, but there are definitelty other things on the menu which are not to be missed! The ensalada de camarones caliente is great, espsecially if you like sauteed spinach. We also love the guacamole and all of their cevice. Gonzalo, the owner, is really friendly & a great local guy!

Fabulous Spanish/Cuban restaurant, and you would never think to stop there based on the outside. Jalapenos is tucked into an older, slightly seedy-looking strip mall, between a dollar store and a Christian bookstore, but don't let that fool you. When you step inside, you are transported to a beautiful old world restaurant full of ambiance and charm.

My husband and I started visiting Jalapenos based on great reviews here and on Yelp, and have been coming back every few months since then. We have never been disappointed. The service is always friendly, gracious, and top notch...(Oh, and Ladies...the oh-so-charming host/owner sounds JUST like Antonio Banderas! Swoon!)...and the food, oh, the food is amazing.

The tapas selections alone are worth coming for: you do not want to miss the homemade guacamole. Or the chorizo served on potatos. Or the mussels in garlic sauce...so good! Or the sauteed spinach salad with pine nuts. Enjoy a glass of the sangria: the red is wonderful. Even better, try one of the margaritas. The extensive tequilla menu--magnificent! And the entrees...the pescado indio is my favorite, my husband likes any of the moles, and we both swear by the ropa viejla. Believe me, once you've tasted the food here, you will never be interested in settling for a tex-mex chain again.

Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner for two, or a cool, unique place to bring the family or a group of friends, Jalapenos is definitely the place to go.
