This place is a gem. My wife and I truly felt at home during our stay. The Inn is beautiful, well-appointed and full of charm. Cory and his family are doing everything right to make this one of the best places to stay in while visiting Annapolis. There was great communication with the Inn before and during our stay. The breakfast was divine, only to be exceeded in quality by the wonderful conversations we were able to have with our fellow guests. I highly recommend the Sequoia room if it is available. We walked to downtown in 15 minutes and even took the water taxi a few times. In short, we'll definitely be going back. Take advantage of this gorgeous place and you'll have a weekend full of memories.

Room Tip: The Sequoia!

J&M, First of all, thank you for taking the time to write an impression about your stay with us. Secondly, I noticed that this was your first review on TA. That makes it even more special. Carol and I wish that you two did not have to return home in a rush to attend to your son. We are so glad that he is better now, but when the whole point of getting away was to relax and to reconnect,.....well we were very disappointed for you and look forward to having you both back with us again soon.

All the best,

Cory

On other trips to Annapolis I had stayed in the historic downtown. This visit I chose to stay across the bridge in East Port, a leafy and quiet residential neighborhood. What a find! The Inn at Horn Point is smack in the middle of a neighborhood of beautiful old homes, with lovely gardens and friendly locals out walking their dogs. Horn Point is a smallish peninsula, with water easy walking distance in most directions. You really feel removed (dare I say "above"?) the touristy bustle just 5 minutes' walk away across the bridge.
My octogenarian mother stayed in the gorgeous Sequoia room. I stay a lovely adjacent room with a pass through door so we had privacy and not privacy, as we chose. Wonderful restaurants easy walking distance. Cory and Carol are new friends. Cory catered to our breakfast whims. Carol secured us a dinner reservation at the last minute on a crowded Friday night. I will return to the inn with my husband and 2 children to take sailing lessons at one of the umpteen sailing schools on the periphery of Horn Point. Looking forward to that.

Room Tip: We enjoyed sitting on the balcony of the Sequoia room, listening to the birds sing and watching peop...

Maria H. I know how busy life is, and it really moves Carol and me when one of our guests takes the time to share their ideas and experiences. Thank you so much for that.

Are you a travel writer? You said "smack in the middle of a neighborhood of beautiful old homes, with lovely gardens and friendly locals out walking their dogs. Horn Point is a smallish peninsula, with water easy walking distance in most directions."

Right out of a Fodors Travel Guide....sounds like. It was beautiful. Please do bring your family for sailing or for any other excuse you can find. We would enjoy, very much, seeing you again.

All the best,

Cory and Carol

The Inn at Horn Point is the best of everything. It is in a quiet neighborhood just steps from the water. Very convenient to the Annapolis marina and the water taxis that will take you over from Eastport to the downtown area. Our room was The Palisades, and completely perfect. We did get a chance to see the other three rooms in the upstairs, and they were equally charming. None would disappoint any weary traveler. The breakfasts were superb, and beautifully presented. The house is old, but has been updated beautifully without losing it's charm! We enjoyed everything in the hustle and bustle of downtown and the USNA, but we were glad we could get back to the calm of this retreat. The full wrap around porch with chairs to be used for quiet time, or easily moved for conversation. The garden area with a small deck available to eat a scrumptious breakfast (or bring back a picnic lunch or dinner). The dining room was beautiful and the sitting room so inviting. They have masterfully decorated with colors that soothe and uplift. You will NOT be disappointed.

Room Tip: We loved the location of The Palisades. It is on the back of the house, but the window placement al...

D & BH, We really enjoyed having you and your long time friends with us. Seeing the four of you reconnecting and really using the Inn and our town to relax is just what Carol and I envisioned when we started 13 years ago. We really appreciate that fact that you took the time to record your thoughts and experiences.

I have to point out that when we selected our location, we were doing so in an effort to provide a nice setting for the B&B (of course) but equally important was the desire to have a safe, friendly neighborhood for our young children (now mostly grown and gone). It was really accidental that our choice of locations was also quiet and therefore sought after by travelers.

We look forward to having you all back soon. All the best,

Cory and Carol

A few days ago, my husband and I were trying to think of a wedding present for some good friends. We decided to buy them a night at the Inn at Horn Point. As residents of Annapolis, we knew it was in the perfect location; away from the noise and bustle of downtown, but within easy walking distance, in a beautiful historic home near the water. We checked out the interior of the Inn, and the rooms, which were all beautiful, well - appointed, comfortable, and clean. Innkeeper Cory made the experience of making the reservation easy and convenient - and our friends loved it!! Raved about the food, the hospitality - they said everything was perfect! I'm so glad we thought of giving the gift of a night at The Inn at Horn Point.

Room Tip: All the rooms are great!

Thank you for choosing our Inn as a wedding gift for your friends. And thank you so much for taking the time to write about your experience with us. When guests of the Inn carve out time from their busy lives to share their impressions, it means everything to us.

You pointed out about the convenience to downtown, and quite honestly, we didn't think much about that or the fact that our neighborhood would be so quiet. We just loved the friendly atmosphere and walkability of Eastport. Shortly after opening, however, guests like yourselves, started focusing on the aspects that you found most enjoyable.

We appreciate you pointing out the things that went in to your decision and hope that we will have the chance to assist you again in the very near future. All the best, Cory and Carol

We had a short but wonderful stay at the Inn at Horn Point. Love the Inn's location and setting in the Eastport section of Annapolis. Our room "MaeMere" was decorated in a calming sage green and poppy red theme. Our room was clean and comfortable and bath was new/updated. Cory is just a wonderful host.Cory knew we were from Boston and that we had experienced a long cold winter. So instead of serving us breakfast in the dining room, he was so thoughtful and set up our delicious breakast outside at our own" private bistro" on the side deck.Breakfast was outstanding starting with the fresh fruit with mango, strawberries and melon topped with fresh mint from his garden. Then onto the main course of Creme Brulee French Toast ordered by my husband and a delicious egg scramble with cheese and fresh vegetables. Yummy! We enjoyed talking with Cory and know we will be staying at the Inn on our next visit to Annapolis. Cory is such a genuine person. You immediately know he loves being an innkeeper and will make sure you have an enjoyable stay.

Thanks to you both for choosing our Inn for your get-away. And thanks so much for taking your time to let us know how we did. That feed back is so important, as we know that we will rarely do everything exactly right.

Your review was so professional sounding in its' description, we thought we were reading something out of a Fodors Travel Guide. Please keep up the good work on TA as you experience other accommodations and attractions. It was very interesting to read.

Carol and I look forward to see you two again. All the best.

My husband & I stayed at the Inn for a week while taking sailing lessons & had a wonderful experience. We had one of the smallest rooms due to previous reservations throughout the week, however, our room was comfortable, bright (when there was sun) & met all of our needs. We didn't expect a large bathroom - this B&B is in a 100+ year old house & and although it has been extensively renovated, the renovations are consistent with the charm (and size) of a house built more than a century ago. We lacked for nothing. The website set our expectations regarding services, continental breakfast and accommodations. Our expectations were exceeded in every way - the house and rooms are comfortable, clean, with lots of towels, plenty of pillows and blankets and sufficient relaxation space inside and out. Cory & Carol, our hosts, were gracious & a pleasure to spend time chatting with. The food was good, wonderfully presented & more than we expected for a "continental breakfast." Our "house mates" were also interesting and there was a lot of sharing, conversation and laughter at the table each morning, even when the cast of characters changed. We were delighted with young Josalyn's flute solos a couple of afternoons, as she practiced. This is a wonderful Inn for those looking for quaint, almost period accommodations within easy walking distance of several fine dining/family dining/local bar/waterfront bars and restaurants. We are pretty self-sufficient so the fact that no one was waiting around to wait on us was not a surprise nor was it a disappointment. Parking is excellent. The Inn is ideally located a reasonable walk from the water taxi, downtown Annapolis and Gate 1 at USNA and Cory welcomed our Midshipman son as if he was a guest. Our visit was at the end of April, with heavy rains and extensive flooding. The effects of the long 2014 winter were evident everywhere with a lot of clean up and repair work to recover from the difficult winter, even at the Inn at Horn Point, still a graceful painted lady although with a little of her age showing - this just added to her charm! Although we had reservations for 7 nights, just prior to arriving in Annapolis, we received an invitation to join in the celebration of our friend's son's Eagle Scout Award. Cory & Carol worked with us concerning the non-refundable fees for the seventh night's reservation - they didn't have to do that and we are most appreciative of their understanding, they were more than fair. Unless you are looking for huge bathrooms, grand entrances, palatial rooms, food service other than breakfast or someone to be at your beck and call, we would highly recommend the Inn at Horn Point and without reservations! Two things we would advise: be aware of the surcharge on credit cards - the fees are passed along to the lodger and ladies, bring your hair dryer.

Room Tip: Make reservations early if you know you are going to be in Annapolis!

S&D ("D" good luck with the fishing trip). Thank you for your detailed "feed back". The fact that you took the time to record such detail is very special to us. We really appreciate it.

There were three things that stood out on the "less desirable" side of your wonderful comments. The first would be the convenience fee that we charge for all credit card transactions. We do try to go over that on the phone for every reservation; but if we miss, it is "standard" in our confirmation and sent to every guest, prior to arrival. We rather prefer personal and business checks, for which there is no fee.

There was a cautionary note to "ladies" about hair dryers. While we do not have them built in to every room, we do have three of them available, and don't have any idea how we missed that fact with you. We are sorry that we did not make that more apparent.

And finally, our restored, 100 plus, year old home, is not grand; but we do have one larger guest room and one palatial suite available. Any one who might read this response, be sure to ask for our larger guest rooms, if that is something that would make you feel more at home.

S&D, we look forward to seeing you again soon. C&C

The Inn was a perfect place for us to retreat on our wedding night. Because of Cory's wonderful hospitality, it felt much more like being welcomed into a friend's home rather than staying at a hotel. Cory is also an excellent cook—breakfast was delicious. Our room was very comfortable and we enjoyed relaxing in the downstairs living room. As residents of Historic (downtown) Annapolis, we were delighted to get away from the busyness of the harbor while still being within easy walking distance. We've always found Eastport to be more relaxed and welcoming of a community than Main Street. We're hoping to find time to spend at the Inn in the future.

M&Z, thank you both so much for taking the time to share your thoughts. We recognize that having just gotten married, exams and relocating to NM, you have a myriad things to do. We are just amazed that you found a moment on TA.

We appreciated your comments....and could not agree more. 14 years ago, we considered having our Inn close to Main Street; but when two major restaurant chains chose Eastport as "the place to be", we thought that they certainly have more development experience than we do, Eastport must be the place to be. We have never regretted it for a moment.

Our best wishes to you both in your new life together. Cory and Carol
