The location is good, the Ram's Head is down the street, Main Street and the dock are within walking distance (though the free local trolley was a welcome respite from walking in the 95 degree heat). There's a cool wine bar/small restaurant nearby that we enjoyed for drinks/appetizers. Our room was tastefully decorated and the soundproofing was pretty good (luckily because there were some young women in adjacent rooms that were loudly celebrating something). However, for me the bed was incredibly uncomfortable; there appeared to be zero padding on the mattress top,and it was completely unyielding; it felt like I was sleeping on the floor.Actually I barely slept. My husband didn't mind the bed, though. Tip-there's a municipal parking garage across the street for $5/day, free on Sunday if you leave before 1. (beats the $18 for valet at the hotel.) I would definitely stay there again if they got much better beds.
