Who would have thunk it? A Thai restaurant that serves donuts in the mornings. You'd think that it's a recipe for failure, but oh no, their donuts are delicious! Wife and I stopped in for some coffee and donuts when we were in the area for our own crab-fest. Donuts are fresh and delicious! Can't go wrong with Carlson's for donuts! Btw, there is a parking lot in the back of the place.

By far best donuts in Annapolis. Not worth going out of your way; but if you are craving donuts and need the fix; Carlson's is the place.

Thai food is good but not great.

Carlson's... not exactly what you'd expect on the sign of a Thai Restaurant, but the food is so good it doesn't matter what they name the place. In fact the Nordic name just might be a statement of confidence, "Who cares about the name, Our food is terrific!"

The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because of the relatively spartan furnishings... it's clean and functional, but not the decor that 5 stars might suggest. But the food is definitely worth a try.

If you've ever wondered what critics and TV chefs mean when talking about "depth of flavor," then try the Gaeng Mussamum (Yellow Curry). The curry sauce had a depth of flavor and complexity that had me moaning at the first taste. They could make a fortune just selling the stock that made that coconut curry sauce sing. If I'd been at home I'd have licked the plate clean.

I'm addicted to the Pla Goong, a salad of grilled shrimp cooked in chili oil, red onions, lettuce and lime juice... I'll pick it up at least a couple of times a week.

New to town, I am thrilled to have found such a terrific Thai restaurant just a stone's throw from home, AND with a full carry out menu. For me the donuts are just a bonus, and if you're in in the evening and they had a slow day selling the pastries, you'll likely get a couple of complimentary donuts with your meal... What could be better?

I wouldn't have necessarily have paired donuts and Thai food but it works! We only had the dinner, not the donuts, and it was savory and well spiced.

It's a bit weird to head out for Thai food and be greeted by the smell of donuts. Did take a few minutes to adjust. The food is good very simple Thai dishes- like a down home place for Thai food. Nothing upscale or fancy, just simple cooking. It is a small, family operation and can be a bit quirky but the service is always pleasant.
