I was attending a day-long conference at the hotel sponsored by my company, Teachscape. The conference hotel was easy to get to, just off the highway and included free parking.
I've seen this hotel floor plan before, so I know the hotel has been around for a while. Yet the decor was updated and the maintenance was spotless. The grounds are well kept-- the pool freshly opened for Memorial Day weekend was shimmering and beautiful.
The staff at the front desk were effective and efficient. The person who checked me in greeted me by name a couple times during my stay. Nice touch!
My room was a junior king suite at the far end of the property. It was a long walk but worth it. I had a nice bathroom with a separate shower, a full (huge) walk-in closet, and a nice sitting area. The desk was functional for a business traveler with two outlets on the TOP of the desk. (It always makes my day when I don't have to move the furniture or crawl under the desk to find an outlet.)
We had dinner in the restaurant, which was excellent. And my room service breakfast was quick as well as hot.
The meeting planner was supportive and responsive. Our event went very well, from my point of view. The lunch was modest, but well prepared.
What more can you ask for? A waterfront location, I guess.More
