“The Place in Annapolis to People (and boat) Watch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 5, 2012

If you are DTA (Downtown Annapolis,) the place to just sit and watch people and an ever changing array of boats is around Ego Alley. The primary spot being the outdoor patio of Pusser's situated right at the enterance to the alley. Watch boats and people come and go, gaze at mega-million dollar yachts from all over the world moored along the alley or nearby marina (possibly catching glimpses of the celebrity owners.) On a balmy Saturday night, the entire dock area is a gathering spot for locals, tourists, street performers, couples, car and motorcycle enthusiasts, and pet walkers. An amazing place to be.

“Not really an attraction, more of an experience.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 18, 2011

"Ego Alley" is a local nickname for a canal like inlet that is located in the center of the historic district of Annapolis. Since it is part of the city dock, much of it is lined with boats and yachts that tie up along it's concrete banks. Even though it's the skinniest of channels, it doesn't stop the parade of boats traversing this dead end water way. On a busy summer weekend, you can witness dozens of vessels cruising down the inlet only to turn around and then exit. Thus the term "ego alley". It's a place to see and be seen.

A common past time is to get a sandwich, hot dog or an ice cream cone and sit on the wall lining the alley to watch all the action. Ducks are plentiful, so you will often see children throwing some sort of food for the waterfowl. All in all, it is a most pleasant way to take in all the boating action in Annapolis.

“A lot of huge yachts.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 22, 2011

Ego Alley is the marina where all the sail boats, yachts and other water crafts are docked. They range in value from thousands to millions. It's the yachts worth millions which obviously stand out. My husband and I figured it would take over $40,000 to fill up the larger yachts with fuel. It is interesting to see where all the water crafts call home. There are a number of restaurants in the area.
