Sitting outside before the Friday night concert, great food, drinks were over the top and service was excellent (sorry I can't remember our waiteress name) Braised beef tacos are delicious, queso fundido decadent, quac watery but chips awesome. Can't wait to go back:)

My husband and I visit Paladar regularly--at least twice a month, and sometimes more for several years and in all that time I think I can honestly say we've never had a bad meal and some of the best meals we've ever had were here. My husband had a duck breast special there at least 2 years ago and he still talks about it!

I like that they rotate the menu and have great specials that change all the time--there is always a new guacamole option (always hard to pass up), as well as new drink and dessert options. I highly recommend the specials, as they are always fresh and fun and super tasty.

But if you want to order off the menu, you can't go wrong there, either. The short ribs with smoky grits, roast chicken, fejoida, and tacos are all fabulous and consistently great. The desserts are always yummy, too--we love the churros, the flan, and the sweet potato puffs with dipping sauce.

Paladar is well worth the visit and I'm sure you'll keep coming back like we do!

Last Saturday evening, we had an impromptu dinner with out-of-town guests at Paladar. We were seated immediately and our server was pleasant and attentive. The appetizers were served promptly with additional "hots" for those at the table that wanted more "heat" in their guacamole. All of the entrees were delicious, especially the short ribs and feijoada. We were too full for dessert, but were fascinated by the malanga root chips. Our server (sorry - forgot his name!) brought a malanga root to the table to show us and explained how the chips are made. It was a great evening and we definately will return!

Can't rate the food or drinks because the service was SO bad that we never even got a menu. Got a table as soon as we walked in and only the outside area could be classified as busy. After going to ask someone if they could take our order (after a 20 minute wait with no menus) we placed drink orders. 20 minutes later, still no drinks or any sign of the waitress who took our orders. By the way, that waitress made a point to say she was not our waitress and that whoever should have been our waitress was not doing her job. Didn't get her name, but for management id purposes, the woman who did wait on us had multiple face piercings. We had plans to meet 6 other friends there that evening but after that experience we left without ever being served. Made other plans and went to Tsunami's instead. Had a great experience at Tsunami's, as always. Not even tempted to try Paladar's again.

When you think of Latin food you think of flavor, heat, quality food. Unfortunately it doesn't stand up to any of those at this restaurant. The food is bland and mediocre. I've enjoyed delicious food in the past and this is not it. I will never go back.
