“Wonderful place to stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 13, 2012

My wife and I stayed here in late October and had a fantastic time.
Ellie was absolutely amazing. She'd hurt her arm and it was in support, yet was still doing everything she could to make our stay amazing (I did feel a little guilty). She even went out of her way to arrange a special tour of the State House. She really was a gem!
Breakfasts were fantastic - filling, but not uncomfortably so, and delicious, and seasonal. As it was Halloween we had some lovely pumpkin spiced muffin one morning, together with a really nice granola and yoghurt, amongst other things. The coffee too was great. Oh, and the home-made cookies we came back to in the evening together with home-made lemonade>
The rooms were well decorated, in keep with the nature of the building, and there is some great local art on the walls. We liked one of the pictures so much we bought one!
Location-wise, it couldn't be better. Just down from the state circle, and the lovely shops and places to eat (Do try the Potato Valley Cafe!); and a short walk in the other direction to the main street, bars, restaurants. It makes it little quieter which is nice. And great for those that visiting the Naval Academy.
Oh, and Maggie (the dog) was a real charmer too!

My wife and I just wanted to get away for our anniversary to get a much needed break. We stayed here two nights and couldn't have been any happier. The owners are very nice and accommodating, after we came back from a great dinner they left us a nice cupcake with a note on it (I included a picture). I thought that was really nice. Breakfast was great both mornings, and the room we stayed in (the State Room) was perfect. Everything was so clean. The location couldn't have been better, our car stayed in the garage the entire time (and with the 50% off deal it was only 20 bucks). We walked all over and did some local tours. I would recommend this to anyone and we definitely plan on coming back for our anniversary every year. This was our first B&B and it can't get any better than this.

Room Tip: The State Room was great, large bed, great sheets, TV with tons of channels, DVD player, it was very...

My wife and I spent a our Anniversary weekend at Chez Amis. What a quaint place, within walking distance to everything. If you haven't been to downtown Annapolis, you are missing out. Great shops, restaurants, history and scenery. The owners are great, know all the best attractions to see, and recommended a great place to eat, we will be back soon.

My husband and I stayed here for one night this November. The house is adorably decorated and very cozy. It is walking distance (just about 5 minutes) to the Naval Academy and Main Street. The owners offer any snacks/drinks (including beer) inside their fridge for your taking. We slept in the "Law Library" which had a queen size bed and a private bathroom. It was very quiet outside the B&B, but inside you can hear every noise another guest makes throughout the night. In the morning the owner served all guests a delicious breakfast of marinated grapes, pumpkin bread, strata, and bacon. Parking is only offered on the street or in a public garage for which the B&B gives a 50% off validation.

Room Tip: Law Library is comfortable with a private bathroom.

My husband and I went to Annapolis for one night for our Anniversary last month and stayed at Chez Amis. We had a wonderful experience. The owners are super nice and helpful. They recommended a great restaurant for dinner. The location is perfect too! Just a few minutes walk to everything in historic Annapolis. All the small personal touches were so sweet. Elly put a love sign on our door and left rose petals and cupcakes on our bed when we returned from dinner. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and we had great company at the breakfast table! We will definitely stay again to Chez Amis! And I would recommend it to all my friends and family!

I chose Chez Amis based on other Tripadvisor reviews and was not disappointed. This is a charming B&B with gracious and welcoming innkeepers Elly and Joe. I travel all over the Mid-Atlantic region for work and I am always looking for places that are more like home than hotel; this place really fit the bill. Breakfast was delicious and the bed was super comfortable. Snacks and drinks are available anytime, and I loved coming back to my room each evening to find a turned down bed with a chocolate or cookie treat. It is in a perfect location to walk anywhere in the downtown area. While the parking is offsite, this B&B provides validation cards for a discounted parking rate and the garage is a quick 3 minute walk away. I will definitely stay here again and I highly recommend anyone visiting Annapolis for business or pleasure give Chez Amis a try!

Pita B...you really picked up on all the special touches we at Chez Amis try to do to make your stay here a bit more than the hotels and other places in the area. Turn down service is our treat as well and we're glad you enjoyed it. Please come back and even if you're just passing though, pop in to pick up a cookie or two and a complimentary water or soda!

Great location in historic district with very friendly people. Annapolis is one of our favorite destinations, and this was our first time at Chez Amis, but it will certainly not be our last. It is just a short walk to the waterfront or the State House and other historic attractions.

Richard H; We at Chez Amis thank you very much for taking time out of your busy day to write such a kind review; and especially to point out how central our B&B is to all of Historic Annapolis. Please come back soon as though the winter months may be brisk, the hot cider is in season! Thanks again.
