My wife and I stayed here in late October and had a fantastic time.
Ellie was absolutely amazing. She'd hurt her arm and it was in support, yet was still doing everything she could to make our stay amazing (I did feel a little guilty). She even went out of her way to arrange a special tour of the State House. She really was a gem!
Breakfasts were fantastic - filling, but not uncomfortably so, and delicious, and seasonal. As it was Halloween we had some lovely pumpkin spiced muffin one morning, together with a really nice granola and yoghurt, amongst other things. The coffee too was great. Oh, and the home-made cookies we came back to in the evening together with home-made lemonade>
The rooms were well decorated, in keep with the nature of the building, and there is some great local art on the walls. We liked one of the pictures so much we bought one!
Location-wise, it couldn't be better. Just down from the state circle, and the lovely shops and places to eat (Do try the Potato Valley Cafe!); and a short walk in the other direction to the main street, bars, restaurants. It makes it little quieter which is nice. And great for those that visiting the Naval Academy.
Oh, and Maggie (the dog) was a real charmer too!
