“Sweet Park”
Reviewed December 3, 2012

Great, large park especially for a smaller city like Annapolis. We often enjoy the jogging/biking trail, pavilions, playgrounds, beautiful overlook of the South River, kayaking, paddle boarding, free summer concerts and are looking forward to ice skating soon.

“Quiet Waters Park Lets You Escape The Noise”
Reviewed November 29, 2012

I love this park. Once you're in and parked up, it's as if nothing exists outside of it....especially the city that lies waiting beyond the entrance.

There are tree covered walking trails, biking trails, kayak rentals, a beautiful fountained pool that becomes an ice rink in the winter, a quaint cafe, an area for summer concerts, art sculptures and a lovely bridge over Snapping turtled waters to boot! It has it all and the best part...the name doesn't lie; it is so blissfully quiet. *sigh* I half expect a dainty bird to gently land on my finger and if that doesn't happen...well..fret not, you'll just have to watch the deer...yep...deer grazing in the meadows. Also, FYI...in case you're in a rush to reach tranquility, you'll be reminded to slow up by the "SLOW" wildlife crossing signs...You'll know it when you seem them...big yellow things with silhouettes of a family of turtles crossing the road. *charming* Oh and don't plan on escaping on a Tuesday... the park is closed that day.

“I miss Quiet Waters Park”
Reviewed November 22, 2012

I used to live in a townhouse right in front of this park and I miss it desperately. It's a huge park, has wonderful, long walking trails, a beautiful view of the water from several locations, has rentals for getting out on the water, and now even has a dog park. I never used any of the reserved pavilions but they look like a great place for a group get-together. In the past, I attended activities at the pavilian which was great. I love seeing the bluebirds using the bluebird boxes behind the pavilion grass area and in general doing lots of other bird watching there. It's a wonderful, peaceful park that's just perfect for getting off the beaten trail.

“A Quiet, Wooded Park”

It has miles of trails through the woods, many group sites, a view of the South River and a creek, kayak rentals, and a couple of dog exercise sites.
