What did I like? Everything! The wonderful volunteers put on their annual plant sale with Paca plants as well as some of their home grown plants. And, you get to tour the grounds which are just gorgeous; beautifully landscaped and well preserved, including the "summer cottage" used by ladies back in the day to enjoy a cool breeze in the summer. In the heart of downtown Annapolis, walking distance to everything. Parking is a challenge in this area. Best to park at the garage couple blocks away which is free on the weekends.

Plan a walk about some spring or summer day. The garden design and plantings are always beautiful and historically appropriate as well.

This historic house is so interesting and the gardens are beautiful. It would be a great place to get married!

The 17th Century gardens located behind the William Paca House are a quite oasis in the center of busy Annapolis. Although a re-creation they are worth the seven dollar admission. Take the included guided tour and spend thirty minutes learning about the excavation and planting of the gardens, as well as the plants and trees growing there. After the tour you can linger as long as you like.

This is a beautifully restored colonial home from one of the original landowners in Maryland. The gardens are breathtaking.
