Meredith, Peggy and staff are simply incredible. This was an absolutely perfect place to stay. The amenities and the service were second to none. The accommodations for our family of six were more than comfortable. We were in two rooms in the Patterson building, where the rooms were well appointed and pleasing to the eye. Breakfast was also quite good. We especially loved the quiches on Saturday morning. The location was perfect for when we wanted to walk around downtown. I cannot imagine now staying anywhere else in Annapolis. My fear is that too many people will find out about this gem and make it harder for us to get a reservation for our next visit.

First, I just want to say sorry to Meredith and everyone at Gibson's Lodgings that it took us six months to write this review!!!!!!!

Gibson's Lodgings was the PERFECT choice for our wedding in Annapolis. We had about thirty guests/family members staying here during our wedding week in November 2012. Everything was absolutely amazing--rooms were top notch, staff (of course including Meredith and Peggy) were extremely accommodating and friendly, breakfast and waffles were a complete hit, and the location cannot be beat! Being from Annapolis myself and my husband from Ireland, we looked for a place where everyone from out of the country could stay that would not break the bank, yet was in a central downtown Annapolis location and up to high standards. We honestly have nothing even sub-par to say about the entire experience!

All the staff were very helpful as everyone was unfamiliar with the area, and it was great that we were able to rent two of the houses completely. A lot of the guests said that Gibson's Lodgings made the trip for them--they were able to all be in two houses together, with privacy and their own rooms, yet feel like they were able to stay up late and celebrate together without doing it in a hotel lobby. The free parking was an added perk. Everyone also raved about the breakfasts, with plenty of food to fill you up for busy days and very good coffee and tea (quite a compliment from Irish guests!!) The waffle bar was also popular, as well as free drinks and snacks during the day--these came in handy for our more budget conscious guests, as the shops downtown can nickel and dime you for sodas and a quick snack!

Overall, we cannot thank Gibson's enough for everything. We will be recommending them to everyone, for just a night's stay in Annapolis or an event like ours. I know my in-laws are already planning on staying here every time they come visit from now on!!!

We spent two nights at Gibson in Patterson #6. What a great little inn! Wonderful location literally right next to the Naval Academy, free parking and able to walk to all the places in the old part of town that most tourists would want to see. And the owner/staff---Meredith has found her calling. She is helpful, knowledgeable and smart. Peggy possesses the same qualities. They want you to enjoy your stay and do everything they can to make that happen. Breakfast is served in two dining rooms in Patterson and you do sit with other guests. selection of fresh fruit, cereal, waffle maker, bagels and other breads. Great coffee. And we certainly enjoyed out complimentary bottle of wine on the little patio which is a great place to relax after a day of touring.
Patterson 6 is a good-size room with a king bed. Bathroom is small so keep this in mind. The room is quiet and restful.
We really liked Gibson's and would return and recommend it to friends.

Room Tip: Talk to Meredith or Peggy and let them know what you need. They will be honest about the pluses and...

There is no way you will find a better location to tour Annapolis - everything is within short walking distances, except for the restaurants in Eastport. But more importantly, this is a great place to stay. The rooms are beautiful and well kept-up. The continental breakfast is more than enough, and there are snacks, soft drinks and Keurig available 24 hours. The on-site parking is free, a very big benefit in Annapolis. Most importantly however, as beautiful a place that this is to stay at, the best part of our stay was the staff - Meredith, the owner, and all of her staff just could not do enough to help us, and always with a big smile. You will feel that you're being welcomed at a family house when you stay at Gibson's.

Room Tip: If you have trouble with stairs, be careful which room you choose. For instance, Lauer is the newest...

We had our informal rehearsal dinner for our wedding here a year ago. Gibson's lodging was wonderful with working with us and making us and our guests feel welcome. The location of Gibson's Lodging is perfect. It is located in downtown Annapolis and has a parking lot onsite, a difficult task given Annapolis's small size (plenty of parking-more than 10!). Situated just outside the Naval Academy's gates (literally), this hotel is ideal for weddings, graduation parties or those who want to stay where the action is in downtown. The staff at Gibson's lodging were fantastic and extremely accommodating for our guests. With many of our guests staying at the lodge were were able to utilize the downstairs great room for hosting a memorable party that all truly enjoyed! If you are planning on having a group function, plan early because space fills up fast and Gibson's will work with you if you book early!

We stayed here with a 'Living Social' deal and could not be more pleased. I would definitely pay full price to stay. We stayed in Berman #5. The room was indeed small, with a queen size bed and a modestly sized bathroom. But we enjoyed the deck right outside our room and all was perfectly adequate for two people. Meredith could not have been more welcoming or friendly with suggestions for restaurants and activities. The location is ideal with parking a plus. We were delighted with the accomocations.

Room Tip: Just ask Meredith and find what suits you. They have quaint, old room and more modern spacious roo...

We are fully remodeled and under new ownership as of December 2010. The three houses on the property, circa 1770, 1890, 1988, offer 20 rooms as well as a small meeting room. This is a great and distinctive place to stay while learning about the abundant history of the Annapolis area. We are conveniently next to the Naval Academy and only a half block from the City Docks. Two of the buildings are historic town houses: the Patterson (a 1760s Federal Georgian with 5 rooms and our main office & dining room) and the Berman (a 1890s house with a porch and 9 bedrooms, one equipped for travelers with disabilities). Behind them is the Lauer House, a 1988 addition with six king suites, a full kitchen and a sitting room that can serve as a meeting room. Filled with both antiques and reproductions, the bedrooms are of varying sizes. A central patio and courtyard serve as a common area for all three buildings. We offer free courtyard parking with your stay and a continental breakfast (including a hot waffle bar) each morning from 7:30-10:30.
