I was referred to this hotel by a colleague. I'm glad I listened! This hotel looks a little dated from the outside, but if you can get past that, you are probably going to be happy here. It is hotel is located on US 40 about a mile from Wal-Mart. There are some small restaurants nearby, as well as a McDonald's within walking distance, and a Golden Corral about 1/2 mile down the road. You're also not far from the north part of town that has more restaurants (about a 5 minute drive).
I stayed here for a month-long job and specifically asked for a king room with a kitchenette and I got it...for a more than reasonable price. This hotel is run by a husband and wife and they, along with their housekeeping staff, do a great job of keeping the rooms clean and providing great service.
As has been said previously by others, the rooms are clean; sleeping area, desk, kitchen and bathroom. I have stayed in hotels where the rate was higher and has poorer cleanliness. Also, my room had a practically brand new LCD TV that I was able to hook my PS3 into. I don't watch TV, so I cannot tell you how good the TV service is, but it is Dish (I believe). The Wi-Fi was a little clunky at times, and you had to login every 24 hours, but that's not all that bad. The wired connection was awesome - fast and stable - again, better than some hotels that charge higher rates.
The bathroom was large enough. The only complaint I have is that the toilet was a little low and had a smaller rounded bowl, but that's minor. Water pressure is more than ample and temperature is very good and hot. The shower head was high enough for anyone under 6'6" to be comfortable.
As someone who likes to cook when working out of town, the kitchen was a great thing to have. The stove is gas and worked fine. The fridge was a full-sized refrigerator and worked fine. A microwave and coffee maker were also in the room. If you do opt for the kitchenette, you must bring your own utensils (forks, knives, spoons, turners, etc.), cooking dishes, cleaning supplies and dish towels as the hotel does not furnish these items.
Also, if you're staying long-term, there is a laundromat northeast of the hotel by the entrance to MD 22 called "Family Wash day" that has 24-hour drop off service for $1.00 a pound washed and folded.
