“Very Clean, Very Comforatable”
Reviewed July 2, 2012

My husband and I stayed here overnight while in the area for a friend's wedding. Check-In/Out were a breeze and the staff was friendly. Our room was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. The hotel is about a 5 minute drive from the restaurants/bars in Aberdeen, but was still quite convenient. Our second night in the area, we stayed at the Holiday Inn (as part of the wedding room block) and we found the Courtyard to be MUCH nicer. We will stay here again if we return to the area.

I stayed here just a week prior to the baseball season, so I couldn't enjoy the walk across the street for a game, but I did get to see part of a little league game in the "backyard" while walking into the hotel. More importantly, the hotel itself was comfortable and secure.

Check in was quick and easy, as I've come to expect with any Marriott hotel. The front desk staff was friendly and professional. They did point out that the TVs would be replaced sometime that week (from old CRTs to flat panels). Kinda wondered about this since the hotel didn't look old enough for analog TVs. The lobby area was clean and up to date.

The room was comfortable and secure, but the furniture arrangement was inconvenient: the wardrobe was placed so that it blocked the view of the TV from the bed (especially after the flat panels, with no slide out, were installed). The bathroom was very nice, and everything in both areas was quite clean and well maintained. Noise levels were fine, though I wonder what it might be like with a game across the street. WiFi was good throughout my stay, and power outlets are conveniently located for the business traveler.

Parking was free, but not very convenient. It was all located at one end of the building and shared with the deluxe little league field next door. Even without a game going on there was a considerable walk. I think it would be worse for the folks at the attached Residence Inn, an even longer walk from the lot.

There weren't any restaurants in the immediate area, but you could find some just the other side of I-95 - only about five minutes away.

All in all, I'm not sure about this place but I'll probably stay here again since there's not much choice in the Aberdeen area.

Nice hotel. The location is pretty good, next to the Ripken complex, but other than that there's nothing around. And breakfast was great (real eggs in the buffet line) but not complimentary. So overall, the hotel is nice and for a baseball game it would be the perfect location, but a free breakfast voucher seemed appropriate.

Stayed one night in January 2012. Check-in was easy and courteous. Room was comfortable and clean. Would certainly recommend to business travelers passing through. TV was a little old and oriented strangely, but that was my strongest complaint.

Room Tip: Try to get a room facing the ballpark behind the hotel for an extra fun view.

The rooms are just cozy enough and the breakfast is good too. My friend and I shared a room and they were able to split the bill between the two of us instead of one of us paying for the whole thing and then the other person paying back the money. Staff was very nice. It is great to stay at this hotel when your baseball team is playing right there on the Ripken fields.

This hotel had a nice pool and a nice fitness room too.

Room Tip: Pay the extra money to get a room overlooking the complex

Let me preface by saying that I stay in hotels 3 nights a week, therefore have a lot to compare against. This was by far one of the best Courtyard hotels i have been in. Clean, spacious rooms. Nice view of ballpark. Will definitely stay here again.

This is a cool hotel for one big reason. it sits next to the Cal Ripken stadium. This is the home of the Cal Ripken World Series for "little league" teams that are in that association. If you like baseball and have to stay in Aberdeen, then don't pass up this hotel.

The rooms are ultra modern. I really enjoyed some of the room designs. There are very contemporary fixtures and decorative styles to the rooms. There are also photoes of some of the boys who have played at the stadium. A very cute catcher photos in my bath room reminded of my own sons. Across the street is the local Minor League team's field. You could easily walk to a game.

The hotel shares common areas with the Residence Inn which is hooked on to the building. Parking is not very convenient to the lobby. There is a bar area in the lobby for socializing after the game or work.

The staff was competent but not particularly friendly.

Room Tip: The West side faces the little league field. The East side faces the Minor League professional fiel...
