It's was relaxing to check in here after a long drive. The coffe bar and the whirl pool let us unwind for the night. There is laundry and its not expensive, great for those traveling with kids.

Breakfast was good and wifi signal strong. Staff were friendly and it was clean and nice throughout.

Just off I-95, I have stayed here several times when I am looking for a convenient place that is safe and clean. Contemporary furnishings and a decent free breakfast with lots of choices not just a plastic wrapped donut! Bedding is pretty thin, so ask for an extra blanket at check-in.

Thank you for your returning business. We enjoy having you as our guests. Marriott just introduced our new Hot Breakfast which we are excited to offer our guests, with scrambled eggs and sausage. Hope to see you again.

Easy to find and with friendly reception staff this is a good place to stay in Augusta. The room was up to the standards one expects in Marriott properties and feather free as requested. The breakfast included breakfast sandwiches which were good. This hotel also can provide you with a list of local, and not so local, restaurants - with directions. However do be aware that the Red Barn serves only deep-fried food, no salads or vegetables in sight. I would stay here again.

Hotel is well located close to I95. There is a 99 restaurant, a Taco Bell/KFC and a Chinese buffet within walking distance. There is also a Mall with an Olive Garden and other restaurants just a few minutes away on the other side of I95. Check in was fine, receptionist was helpful and friendly. Lobby area was very welcoming, Room was nice and bright, bed was very comfortable, bathroom a good size and clean, fridge a nice extra. Only thing I would mention is that the towels were very thin. Breakfast selection was fine with yogurt, bananas, oatmeal, cereal, breads, juices, breakfast sandwiches (microwaveable), hard boiled eggs, waffles, hard boiled eggs etc. Would recommend this hotel for a stopover in Augusta.

I don't like to be overly critical of these hotels so I'll parse my words as much as possible. The rooms are nice. I had a king suite so comfortable for a couple of nights stay. If I had to complain about anything would be the living area lighting - way too sparse. They have a contemporary light box floor lamp that took me about 20 minutes to figure out how to turn on. I finally found the tiny tiny switch on the side post. Not a big deal. The mattress in my rook was was quite soft and obviously reaching its end of life. I slept in the middle of the bed for additional comfort and support but almost rolled out of bed when I moved over to the primary side of the bed. Breakfast buffet is a bit sparse for a hotel this size and location. The oatmeal was rather sticky and pasty and the fruit was obviously old as were the oatmeal condiments (brown sugar was like a tiny pile of rocks and raisins were stale as well). Staff friendly and helpful; clean and pleasant accommodations; really good proximity to highway shopping and restaurants. There is a 99 restaurant across the street and was fine. My second stay here on business and will likely stay again when in the area.

We stayed at the Fairfield one cold night just to break the winter monotony. Stayed in a great suite, listened to some tunes on the impressive i-pod player, then hit the hot tub, and jumped in the pool for a little stretch and cool down. Slept well in comforable bed (comfy linens), classy little bathroom, coffee in room, and then grabbed breakfast from a nice array of choices downstairs. Sat in front of the fireplace to eat (of course). Who could ask for more? I can see this being the perfect place if you've got business in the capitol area. Staff was very cool. Great, all 'round. Thanks all.

Room Tip: We lucked out with an executive suite. Obviously goiong to be bigger than some, but really cleanline...

Fairfield Inn in Augusta is a basic, but comfortable hotel in Maine's capital city. Service is pleasant (got upgraded to exec suite as Gold member) and the accomodations are comfortable and clean. Having a mini fridge and microwave is an added bonus and it was also nice to have two TVs and an iPhone alarm/charger. The bathroom was spacious with a good shower and the bedding was better than average. The kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub but the pool temperature could be warmer (as others have remarked). The heat/AC unit was very noisy, though, so if you are a light sleeper that could be an issue.

The weakest link is the "continental breakfast" with pre-made sandwiches, cold cereal, stale English muffins and horrible coffee. They offered hot oatmeal one day but it was lumpy, thick and tasteless. No waffle maker, french toast, pancakes, hot bacon/sausage or fresh fruit (other than green bananas). Mind you, I was not expecting a deluxe buffet but better, fresher choices and fruit and good coffee would be most welcome.

Overall, this is a solid choice but I would recommend that you eat breakfast at the nearby Denny's until improvements are made in choice and quality.

Thank you for taking the time to review us on Tripadvisor. We appreciate all the wonderful comments you gave us and we will share this with our staff. You will be happy to know that Marriott is changing the continental breakfast starting in April. We will be having a hot breakfast with scrambled eggs and a meat offering along with other changes. We hope to be your host for a future stay.
