I stayed here for 4 nights and really enjoyed the hotel. For the price the rooms are very tidy and of a very good size. The beds are very good and the location of the hotel is unbeatable. The staff were fantastic and even called me 20 minutes after I checked in to see if my room was ok and everything was good which I though was amazing for a budget hotel.

Also the free wifi was great at speed.

I would recomend this Hotel for anyone on a budget and wants to see Maine and its attractions.

I will stay here again on my next trip to Augusta, Maine

The motel was run down and shabby looking. The bedroom was acceptable clean but could do with a good washing down. I wouldn't use the shower, it was stained and there was hair in it. The room was big, I liked that the windows opened, which we had to do because there was a musty smell in the room. The pillows were flat and not very comfortable. The desk clerk was efficient but a bit grumpy. The wireless internet was free and their was a fridge in the room. There was also coffee served in the morning in the lobby. The motel was located close to shopping and dining.

the only complaint i have is that the smoking room smelled like the room was soaked in smoke-i know smoke smells, but the room should not smell like it so overwhelming that even a smoker can't stand the smell! otherwise the place was cozy!

what a filthy rotten hell hole! we opened the door to the room and were knocked over by the stench. we opened the windows and sprayed lysol but couldn't get over the cigarette ashes in the tub, the mold from ceiling to floor, the carpets covered in pet hair etc...we asked for a new room and they put us 2 doors down. the cigarette smell was overwhelming! we were actually gagging. we again opened the windows and sprayed lysol and left for 3 hours. upon arriving back it smelled ok BUT we proceeded to pull back the sheets and check for bed bugs and there it was....a hypodermic needle!!!! We went to the desk and the staff was rude and didn't care but did put us in a 3rd room. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT STAY THERE. THE PLACE REEKED OF DOG, CIGARETTE, MOLD............i used to stay at the super 8 across the street and that is definitely better but next time we'll be at the hilton and will gladly pay over 100.00 i am currently trying to get my 48.99 back!

To those complaining about the lack of amenities and wall decor: This is Motel 6.

If you want fancy or aesthetic, don't go to Motel 6.

But if it's 10pm, you've driven 500 miles that day, and almost all reasonably priced hotels/motels in the area are full, then Motel 6 is for you.

This is standard Motel 6. In other words, absolutely no frills, but a clean comfortable room to sleep in after a long day on the road.

This particular Motel 6 has more spacious rooms than you'll find in most Motel 6's. Having stayed at many Motel 6's, we were shocked upon entering at the size of our room. It was twice as big as the one in Lake Tahoe, no kidding. And considerably bigger than the other Motel 6's we've been to.

It was a pleasant surprise in a very long day on the road. Thank you to the Motel 6 in Augusta!

In general staying here was what I usually expect from a Motel 6. The outside of the building and hallways were old and run down. The room had brand new carpet, but the beds and bathroom were pretty outdated. Free coffee in the morning and very fast free wireless internet which I did not expect.

For $50 a night this isn't a bad place to stay. I rate it a 3/5 knowing that it is a low rate place.

  • Liked — Free high speed wireless internet and the price.
  • Disliked — Bathroom was very outdated and a bit dirty looking.
