We have been there two years in a row and definitely will be going again next year. Clean, comfortable and quiet after 9 or so....we are planning a trip for next year all ready. Great family memories and a fun time.

My family and I stayed here in the end of July and we had a good time. Very clean place with a great pool. The cabin we had was very roomy for us although I wish it had been a little more secluded but you can't have everything. We were there during the week so it was very quiet. The staff was helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay and got to see a moose and even cooked lobster at the camp. Overall enjoyable experience.

We have been to BWC two years now for our family reunion.
Love the campground, it's clean and quiet.
Spacious and clean showers.
The owners are great and very friendly.
We love the outdoor movie nights.
Camp store is adequate for camper needs, and they have Giffords Ice Cream.

Spent one week at balsam woods, the pool was great, everyone was nice!! The sites are large compared to other campgrounds. The layout is nice, everything is easy to get in and out of. If you have an atv there are trails right at the campground. The rec hall is great me and my 2 year old played lots of games. I caught some big trout right down the road.

This was our first camping trip ever and we had a great time! I hope all of the places we go will be this nice. Clean bathhouse/bathrooms. Used the shower facilities one day because our sight didn't have sewer (only a very few that don't) Had a free to use dump station though. Had a nice movie night on Saturday outside on the nice flat, nicely mowed lawn. Brought our chairs and blankets and it was nice. I'm not sure if we saw the owners or not, I heard they were very nice and very young so I think they might have blended in with the other campers. Which I actually think is very nice, Ive read many reviews on Tripadvisor about how owners are yelling at people and have a ton of rules. Things seemed to run very smooth, no issues so no need to see the owners.

LOTS of kids on bikes and generally playing. We were right near the pool and playground. We have no kids of our own but went with friends that have 2. It was great seeing all of the kids running and playing. Our friends little one made a friend immediately and was off on his bike.

Lots of great dogs too! We're dog people but didn't bring ours this trip but will for sure next time! Didn't hear any dogs barking at night and very little during the day but it was just cause the dogs wanted to play with the kids.

We will be back for sure. Its just under 2 hours from home.

Thanks for a great weekend, wish it could have been longer!

We have been to Balsam Woods many times and each visit has been great! Such friendly and accommodating owners, wonderful campsites and rental campers, and you can go ATVing right from the campground for hours and hours! Would recommend to anyone!

Room Tip: We have stayed in a all of the rental campers. They are all clean and in great condition!
