“Come in January”

It is part of the Jungle Gardens. In order to witness the bird nesting, you would need to be here at the right seasons around January time frame.

“All part of the local attractions”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 11, 2012

The Tabasco sauce visitor centre, Jungle Gardens are all next to each other and effectively the same attraction. But you can visit the Tabasco sauce store and factory without paying for Jungle Gardens and Bird City. At $8 to see both they are well worth the price.
Woth a diversion if you are 2 hours (or even more) drive away. We loved it.

“Egrets Everywhere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 27, 2012

Thousands of Egrets along with other migratory birds live/visit here. Very interesting even if you're not into bird watching. May also see an alligator or two.

“Oh WOW”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 6, 2012

The birds. WOW. Beautiful. Take a hike down a steep hill down to the observation tower. Look to the right first. In the trees. See them? Babies being fed. Birds landing. Then scan out into the pond. All you see is white. If you continue the drive from the parking lot, go down towards the "gate," if you do, you will see the birds from another view. Beautiful.

“Beautiful! Environmentalist approved”

Expensive ($8 pp to drive around) but really gets your zen on. And the bird watcher in you happy. Beautiful grounds, we had great weather for a nature walk and take in the Louisiana landscape
