The new fascade on the outside does not give you a clue to the decor on the inside. The rooms were beautiful with extraordinary drapes. The bathroom was a monster in size with a shower and a big tub. The grounds are a golf course. Price was right. The only thing negative I could say is that the flower arrangement in the main lobby was god awful and needs to be replaced.

Our room was very nice with a large bathroom with garden tub and seperate shower. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and the staff made you feel at home. The breakfast was just enough and the location was close to dining and shopping. We will definately stay here again. My husband is here for a meeting and I enjoyed lounging in the room and by the pool.

I use this hotel often as the location is especially convenient for me and there in a strict no smoking policy. With one exception, and it was cleared up right away with a room change, I have gotten a great night's sleep and been able to get a lot of work done. If you need a big screen tv, you'll have to go to a sports bar, but that's not a priority for me. I would not saay this is a place for kids (unless they golf).

A beautiful, peaceful experience. Went to get away and paint. The Bistro next door is wonderful. Great sushi.

My husband and I stayed here before a business meeting. The hotel and rooms are beautiful, the setting is very quiet and away from the city and freeway. Our room had a very comfortable king-sized bed, a large bathroom with two-person soaking tub and separate shower, and (important to native Louisianians) Community Coffee for the in-room coffee maker. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
However, the hotel was full and noisy. We could clearly hear the person in the next room talking on his cell phone. We could hear noise in the hall until midnight - people laughing and doors slamming. The continental breakfast was very minimal. So a mixed experience. I'd only stay here if I was not sensitive to noise at night.

We picked this hotel for an overnight while traveling by private aircraft based on its proximity to the airport. The hotel is located on what was the old England Air Force Base (hence Parc England) and is surrounded by expansive lawn areas with mature trees giving it a semi-country ambience.
Staff was very friendly, airport pick-up & check-in fast & efficient. Rooms are quite nice, roomy and furnished with a collection of high-quality "estate sale" furniture, including some antiques. Overall the facility was very attractive and a significant cut above the chain operations.
There is a small pool only large enough for a quick cooling dip, but it has a very nice deck area with patio furniture for relaxing among the shade trees. Other more or less standard amenities were an exercise room and wireless internet (which did not cover our room adequately, but there are guest computers available).
We noted several reviews that commented on noise problems but we had none, in fact it was very quiet. The hotel was not full, however, and there were no 'functions' in progress during our stay.
While the hotel's rates were only a few dollars higher than nearby chain hotels, the adjacent Bistro on the Bayou is definitely priced upscale. Housed in what was the old England AFB Officer's Club building, it is a "special occasion" eatery featuring four-star meals at matching prices. Our dinner for two, with drinks, easily topped $120. We accepted this going in and enjoyed our meal immensely. My advice is to suck it up and enjoy, you shouldn't always have to eat at McDonalds.
Wrapping up our stay, the morning continental breakfast in the lobby was nothing spectacular but quite adequate. Everything was fresh and the coffee was excellent.
Bottom line, it was a nice stay and I'd use them again

It was an outstanding and beautiful experience. We were treated like royalty. The staff and the owner were above board!! Thank you for making us feel important, special and welcomed!!

We are in love with this hotel. It has become our special place. The service and the staff were professional, personal and extraordinary. The Lobby is beautiful and I loved the purse display...different. The food from the Bistro is always tasty and mouthwatering.

Again...thanks!!!
