CHEAP, clean, safe, fast...line 2 now also takes you all the way to Tocumen Airport...Can't wait until there is a line accross the Panama canal.

Cheap to use, clean and fast to your destinations. People looked at my grey hair and jumped up to give me a seat. I used Uber too and it was great within the city but I think I got stiffed going to the airport for $48 US.

One traveler will need three $1 bills: $2 to buy the metro card and $1 to buy the minimum credit. You MUST have bills because the machines won't take dollar coins and WON'T give change for a larger bill. The Metro staff DO NOT give you change. So be prepared.

Other than that inconvenience, I found the metro clean and shiny compared to others I have ridden in the States, Europe, and Mexico. Well done, Panama!

I took Line 1 to Albrook Mall and then a bus elsewhere. Both metro stations and the buses have turnstiles where you place your metro card over a round plastic scanner to enter and exit. The train cars and bus were air conditioned. Smart move!

Great way to get around Panama!!!! I have been on taxis buses and uber and this was awesome!!! By the way never use taxis in Panama for 3 reasons 1.They place strangers in the car. 2. As soon as they hear you speak a different language than Spanish, your $3 ride becomes $30 ride and 3. Some of these guys don't use a.c. even when it's steaming hot outside!!! Use Uber, uber is your friend!!!!

You can not get closer to observe what the Panama population is like. Get yourself on a Metro for barely a 30-35 cents (you may need buy a Mestro Bus card first) for your destination and enjoy a crowded environment of the most popular transport system in Panama....
