The visitor center is very well done. Four levels of information are connected by escalator. It starts with the French effort. The various pieces of equipment are illustrated with models. The displays present well the problems and the technology used to overcome me. The highlight, though, is the simulator. The visitor is standing on the bridge of a Panamax vessel as it locks through, at Miraflores, of course. The floor shakes as the ship meets the tugs and attaches to the mules. It is a great introduction before going on the terrace to watch the actual ships going through.
