“Great background”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

This is an excellent place to learn more about Panama and its history. There are a lot of cool exhibits to see. Knowing Spanish is a plus. The only funny part we noticed is that there is an omission of references to a certain Panamanian president who was removed from power in the 20th Century. It was almost as if he never existed.

“Gives Good Context to the Ruins”
Reviewed August 7, 2013

You'll get a better historical flavor for the ruins, the visit/entry to which is included with the museo admit price, if you browse the museo first. Some really neat artifacts in there!

“Not that interesting”

The museum at the Mraflores lock is much, much better. This one overwhelms with plenty of written information difficult to digest, and you end losing interest

“Very good site”
Reviewed June 27, 2013

If you visit the Ruins you can pay for both attractions on one ticket and its worth the visit. If you are short on time, you might want to skip this or do a real quick walk through. The place is not to crowded and air conditioned. 2 story building that you can easily see in less than 30 minutes or take more time if you so desire. The kids loved some of the exhibits of old coins and old artefacts.

“Interesting site”
Reviewed May 9, 2013

If to understand a bit more the history of the first spanish city on the Pacific Ocean, this place has to be visited, it will be short, as the presentation is modern and nice.
