President Martinelli love the cappachino at this little shop near the palace. No fuss when he's there, security unobtrusive. But to food. Best bagel, egg, bacon, cream cheese breakfast for $5. Excellent home grown Panamanian coffee. Run by American expats.

“Stop here for an afternoon coffee break”
Reviewed March 17, 2014

I loved the Casco Viejo in general, but this cafe was a welcome respite from the heat. It's been beautifully renovated, but the you can see how the original details of the architecture have been preserved. The are comfy chairs, a couch, and books to browse. The owners are very welcoming, and there is free wi-fi. The prices aren't cheap, but it's worth paying a little more for the quality of the food/beverages and the ambience. The fruit juice was fresh with no added sweeteners, which I appreciated. The cafe also takes credit cards.

Our server made us perfect iced coffees! Enjoyed the music in the background, friendly atmosphere, and comfortable setting. I highly recommend this great place to sit and just relax for a few minutes.

“great smoothies too!”
Reviewed March 3, 2014

Thankfully this wonderful place was steps from our hotel. We spent several mornings here. Our group of 4 tried the lattes, the coffee, the mochas and the smoothies, all of which earned 4 stars. The staff was always so nice! I also bought several pounds of Panamanian coffee to take home.
