“A must when visiting Miraflores Locks”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 23, 2013

Even if you're not a Museum person, please do take the time to visit this one. You will find out lots of fascinating information about the construction of the canal and even do a simulated ride going through the locks.

“Museum is interesting”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 12, 2013

Museum is interesting and you can get through in a wheelchair. However you have to go out of the museum and up the main elevator to get to the other floors and then go through the back door to get back in to the museum. But hey at least it is wheelchair accessible. It's a small museum but interesting.

“Interesting museum, although a bit heavily nationalistic and monolingual.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 12, 2013

The museum was large and appeared comprehensive. However, displays were in Spanish only. The English audio guide is thus essential but provides only a small fraction of the Spanish content. Very heavy emphasis on Panama's efforts to obtain control of the Canal, which is less relevant for foreign visitors.

“EDUCATIONAL SIMULATED EXPERIENCE”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 6, 2013

Education tour of the museum outlining historical trajectory of cana construction and artifacts excavated whichw were found or used during construction. There's also a computer where you can input family name to search for employment and time frame. The most exciting part of this tour was simulation of actually experiencing the sensation of going thru the Canal...very real and exhilarating.

Well worth the time and reasonable cost.
