This is one of the better museums we visited. We had to pay extra to hire the English audio tour. Without it the museum. Is difficult to appreciate. I learned a lot.

Allow plenty time to visit. It is world class and a real credit to those responsible for the design and displays. It provides an insight into just how difficult the Canals were to construct and the hardship experienced by the workers responsible. A real eye opener.

We were just happy to get out of the hot midday sun when we saw this museum. What a nice surprise! This museum is better than the canal museum at miraflores locks. You can see everything in about an hour, learn about the canal and about Panama's history and all of this within a beautiful building. Recommended!

The building in which the museum is showcased is the actual fully restored French Canal Administration building, and amazing example of French architecture in Panama City.

The exhibits are in Espanol but headphones with an English narrative are available at a nominal cost.

The number of artifacts and the displays are amazing and fascinating.

Part museum, part viewing gallery, part restaurant. A truly enjoyable one-of-a-kind way to wile away a sunny afternoon!
