We have stayed in this hotel many times in the past 7 years and enjoyed all of our visits. We just returned from Panama last week after a lengthly stay at this hotel. Our compliments to the entire staff for their hard work.

Breakfasts in the hotel are excellent and the location is perfect with many nearby restaurants - Pencas is within walking distance and many others are located on the Amador causeway via taxi (Albertos, Mi Ranchitos, etc.).

The staff are efficient and always pleasant - muchas gracias por todo!

For the traveler wishing to overlook the Panama canal but nothing else, this may be a decent choice. However, its location far out of the way from anything is a definite drawback for those wanting to go to dinner in the old city (Casco Viejo) or in the modern Panama City neighborhoods. Aside from its less than perfect location the hotel is tired and shopworn in every sense of the word: the furniture stained, the walls dingy, the crud on the bathroom floor, the bed linens too small and towels with many holes.
Surprising however is the quality of the food: it is excellent from breakfast, to dinner. We were there with a very large tour group and the hotel service staff managed to handle it with aplomb. For individual tourists wishing to avoid large groups this may not be the best choice. Overall, however, as hotels go in still developing countries this hotel is more than passable and its free wifi a big asset.

Great waterfront room with beautiful views. Staff very friendly and helpful. Amador Causeway short trip from hotel with great views of city day and nite. Pool was very nice, maid service was great. We had an early checkout on morning of departure with front desk clerk being very helpful. The TGIF on site was a good place to dine if we were late returning from our day trips. We will book this hotel for our next trip to Panama.

Room Tip: Book waterfront side if you like to take in beautiful views. Room was very quite, not hot water pro...

Not a flashy place, more like a La Quinta in the US, but super price for its location at the pacific entrance to the Panama Canal. Although we didn't get a waterfront room, our northern end room's window opened for a fabulous view of boats passing under the Bidge of the Americas both at sunset and early am.

Room Tip: Ask for an end room closest to the Bridge of the Americas if waterfront rooms aren't available

There is no tour operator at the hotel as website said. The plumbing cycles between hot and cold in the shower and we are told that is 'tipico.' Our 'suite' has no chair or lamp in the living area. The sofa is in a sad and sagging state. The windows to the balcony are so filthy that we cannot see out of them clearly. We have asked to change rooms and have been shown 4 others that are equally as bad.

If you like to eat at TGI Fridays then perhaps this is the place for you, as it is conveniently attached to the hotel.

This is a big bland boring and oddly expensive hotel.

The bed was comfortable. The staff were about as uninterested and unhelpful as they could possibly be.

We stayed there one night and then again a week later for two (it wasn't our choice it was booked for us). It really is MILES from anywhere. It is on the edge of a big deserted military base at the beginning of the Amador causeway.... I guess that is a BIT interesting.... we did rent bikes nearby and ride out the causeway. Rental bikes in Panama seems to be consistently trashed.....

We did find a store about a mile away where we could buy drinks for our room....

The yacht club nearby does offer some OK options for food.

So in summary.....its fine for sleeping......but if you are going to Panama, find a hotel with some character, perhaps in the old city.

It is disappointing to hear that we did not meet your expectations during your stay at our hotel. We especially regret hearing any dissatisfaction regarding the service of the staff members. Management is currently taking the necessary steps to ensure complaints such as this do not occur in the future. We hope you get the chance in the near future to visit our hotel again so we get the chance to exceed your expectations.

We stayed at this hotel in Panama City located at the mouth of the Pacific Ocean entrance to the Panama Canal. It was quite easy to find coming from Tucoman airport. Our reservation included a no cost upgrade if a premium room was available. The hotel offered us a room overlooking the canal. Our room was large, well appointed and very clean. It had all of the expected amenities of a Country Inn hotel. The air conditioning was very good albeit a bit noisy. The in-room Wifi was very fast. As mentioned our view of the canal was excellent. Alongside the canal is a walkway alongside the Amador Causeway. It takes about an hour to the first island and the views of Panama City are quite beautiful.

Breakfast at the hotel was very good, with many hot plates, fruit, breads, yoghurt and deserts. Check-in and check-out were quick and efficient. Our only complaint is that there was a loud constant humming noise in the room, like a compressor working or a freezer constantly on. This was both irritating and annoying especially during the night. Otherwise our stay there was very pleasant. We enjoyed the room, the view of the canal, the cleanliness and the location – it is a nice introduction to the country of Panama.
