My boyfriend and I really had no idea what to expect of the Panama Canal, but it ended up being way cooler than either of us thought. Most definitely worth a visit when in Panama City.

Panama and Canal are two almost inseparable words. Very well done exhibits and wonderful tours as well. You won't come accross anything else like it . Be certain to watch the short movie before taking the tour. You won't regret this tour.

We loved our trip through the canal with Lindblad National Geographic Adventures. This canal and these locks are enormous, but a new channel is being built to accommodate today's larger ships. We went through the Pacific-side locks late in the evening, but the locks themselves are well-enough lit for us to view the goings on. We overnighted on Lake Gatun and went through the Caribbean-side locks the next morning. We feel as though we've seen something important.

If you're in Panama, obviously you need to check it out. Do either a full day or partial day transit. I did the full day, and it was very interesting.

The view is amazing and the museum is very well done. Nothing to dislike. The admission fees are reasonable. The short 3D movie is quite enjoyable and could have been a little more detailed.
