“Nice environment”
Reviewed February 8, 2012

The environment is good, the service is normal as well as the food and the drinks. There are a lot places better than this one to go.

“I love it and you will”
Reviewed December 16, 2011

Its a great Reatau with good smiling staff, foods hummmmmmmmmm delicious and the cocktails are really good. The tapas aren't really Spanish tapas but they are sooo yummy. Funny and playful place to hang out, mostly Panamanian crowd.
You just have to make a reservation, because its always crowded, we went without reservation and was sitting at a little table by the wall, didn't care after all the food was really good. I will go there again when I visit Panama, it was just awesome, and I love it.

“New favorite hangout in Panama City”
Reviewed December 8, 2011

I just complete my 3rd visit to Jaleo...and now feel I can give it a solid two thumbs up. Tapas, food and drink menu one of the best selections in Panama...and reasonable value for a higher end place. The crowd is mixture of the young and beautiful and business and professionals. Very few tourist have found this place from what I have seen. It is a see and be seen place in the city...conveniently located just a couple blocks from the popular Calle Uruguay scene in Bella Vista. Valet parking is friendly and efficient. Not a place for tourists in shorts and sandals. Fills up most nights after 8PM. Reservations recommended after that time. Best tapas menu and execution I have seen in Panama.

“Beautiful Restaurant That Apparently 'Flies Under the Radar'”
Reviewed July 8, 2011

Color me quite surprised to find this great restaurant totally unreviewed here on Trip Advisor from what I can see (?). We've been here twice now, once a year ago, and just had to go back again in late June. I call it 'Spanish', but many dishes have a local Panamanian flair, and though traditional full 'platos' are available, the extensive tapas menu always delights our palates.

The restaurant has a fine indoor dining area, but the large pleasant tent-covered gardens outdoors call to us, and that's where the fairly young, 'hip' crowd seems to flock as well. Almost full every time we go, this place is an obvious hit with the Panamanian crowd it draws, with few tourists in sight (maybe that explains the lack of recognition on Trip Advisor!)

When you go, ask for Marco as your waiter, he's been our 'man' two years running, very pleasant and efficient. (photo attached). Please tell him the Norte Americanos who love the cuatro leches said hello. That dessert, alone, is well worth the trip, by the way.
