All around perfect. Impeccable service, exquisite room design, and with only 8 rooms, it is very exclusive. The Casco Antiguo is an exciting area, but still rough around the edges. The Hotel Casa del Horno, is the best example of what the Casco will become. Many hotels are springing in the Casco, a few of them are 5 stars. But, I have toured them all, none compare! The only downside is that the hotel is not located in front a piazza, but once your are inside of the hotel & rooms, that is a non-issue.

(Talk to Ingrid Moore in the Hotel. She was super nice and helpful when reserving and during our stay)

Conclusion: 2 thumbs up!

Our group had the two suites and another single room and the place was fantastic. Pictures can't do this place justice, you must see it for yourself. Amenities are great, and all rooms had a balcony. Staff is very helpful, friendly and bilingual. Very close to the Presidential Palace so area is very safe (armed military on every street corner on hotel road). If there's one negative it's the lack of an elevator - so if you're elderly or physically handicapped it's probably not for you.

We had a night in the penthouse suite and i ll never forget it.
The wine was perfect and the mattress very firm, i like it.

The balconey was also very romantic. I appreciated the view on the old ruins.

300 characters is a lot to expect from a simple comment on tripadvisor.
I don't really know what to add. So i keep writing things in order to reach the acceptable amount of letters. Well i guess that is enough now. So i can stop typing. can i?

We've spend a night in one of the 3rd floor wonderful suite of Casa del Horno. The architecture of the place is amazing, a mix between ancient stone wall and modern furnitures. We enjoyed the jacuzzi as well as the very good breakfast in the morning. The place is also perfectly located, in the middle of the blooming Casco Viejo district. As soon as I go back to Panama City I think I'll spend a night there.

My husband and I stayed in Casa del Horno for a night in the Penthouse Suite. There's nothing that compares tot his magical place. It's one amazing restoration and a labour of love, you can definitely feel it the minute you enter their small but "oh so chic" lobby.
The entire place brings such a sense of calm, with perfect illumination, decor and just anything you need to feel pamper.
They have a very attentive staff that will make all your needs and wishes a reality. Just ask.
Our room was a two floor penthouse, overlooking Casco Viejo. We had a mini kitchen and for our surprise and delight a small wine fridge with a great selection to choose from. Beautiful pieces of furniture you can just tell that they were carefully selected to fit with the harmony of this place.Plus, the walls are decorated with paintings and pictures of famous artists. The beds are incredible comfortable and huge!!!! Breakfast was served in our kitchen and included a nice selection of cheeses, fruits and bread and don't forget boutique style coffee.
We enjoyed everything about this place and hopefully will many more visits. It will upgrade your visit to Panama....

The service was excelent. The people were very kind, including the concierge, room service and house keeping. The rooms are in great condition and have amazing coziness. I spent one romantic night with my girlfriend and she also loved it! The room had a living/dining room, kitchen, balcony, closet, jacuzzi, among other stuff (iPod ready). The kitchen was FULLY equipped with wine refrigerator, food refrigerator (with the minibar), stove and all the appropriate silverware, plates, pots and pans, etc.

The location is excelent. The rooms at the 2nd floor have the best views, make sure you get one of the rooms on this floor. The restaurant is not finished YET, but I am sure it would be AMAZING!. The food for breakfast was really good too! Basically I liked everything and I have NO complain.

Room Tip: Pick the TOP floor rooms! They have the best views.

Excellent place, very comfortable, you can go out during the day or night and walk around the old city of Panama "Casco Viejo". Rooms looks great. Reconstruction of an ancient building. Different way to stay better than any big Hotel. If you are looking for a place with excellent taste I recommend Casa del Horno
