“Great experience with a great team.”
Reviewed January 10, 2013

Hello everyone, last weekend I went to my first River Rafting tour on Rio Grande. I had bought a voucher at Oferta Simple for this trip. The transportation didn't cause any problems.
The instructors were really cool guys who did a great job!
We had a lot of fun, they took pictures and the lunch and snacks were included. Well, the lunch consisted of sandwiches. But additionally they had fruits, sweets and drinks.
I can recommend this tour for starters!

Thank you very much for your comments on our Rio Grande River Rafting.

Rio Grande has something for all ages. If you have good paddling skills you can request a duckie (inflatable kayak) to make it more challenging. But in the raft it is great to share in a group or with the family

“Fun, adventurous, and relaxing”
Reviewed December 30, 2012

This was a great rafting trip for three young women wanting to explore the more authentic parts of Panamá. The guides were great. We could tell they enjoyed being there and showing us all around the river. We saw many types of wildlife! This was our first rafting trip and I would definitely recommend Mamoni river to anyone at the beginner level looking for a good challenge and to anyone wanting to enjoy wildlife.

Thanks for your comments.

Definitely Mamoni is not a river run worth by itself of purchasing a plane ticket to come to Panama. But if you are alreary in Panama or planning to visito Panama .... do not miss it in your itinerary.. great white water and so close to Panama City !

“Awesome Day Trip!!!”
Reviewed December 30, 2012

We were on a cruise with a stop at Colon, Panama and didn't like any of the tour options through the cruise line. We booked a day trip with Aventuras Panama to go sea kayaking in Portobello. This was an awesome experience and by far one of the highlights of our entire trip.

Aventuras made everything easy and enjoyable. The booking process was very simple and their staff answered all of our questions. Their staff met us at the cruise ship and took care of everything. They were very friendly, knowledgeable about the local area and history of the places we visited. We had never kayaked before, but they told us everything we needed to know to have a fun and safe time.

We had such a great time that any future visit to Panama will absolutely include a trip with Aventuras. I only wish we had more time to take one of their longer trips. Don't hesitate to book a trip with Aventuras!

“fun white water rafting trip!”
Reviewed December 23, 2012

I highly recommend Aventuras Panama!

They are well organized and we had a great time. We booked a white water rafting trip. They picked us up at the Intercontinental Playa Bonita which was little out of the way. Our guide Chris was pleasant and very energetic. When we arrived at the place we were supposed to put in the raft, the water was too high and we had to switch to a different river for safety reasons -- we ended up at Mamoni. The detour took about an hour to get to because of the slow 4x4 driving up/down the rugged path. Once we got there we had lunch. They provided bread to make sandwiches, a few different types of cold cuts and cheeses, and Chris cut up some fresh pineapple. A basic lunch but sufficient.

My only complaint was that the guide that was in our raft (Chris was in the other raft) was yelling at us a couple of times when he seemed to get upset that we weren't doing what we were supposed to. The problem was that he didnt speak very loud and didnt speak much English. If you sit in the front, you might have a problem hearing from the guide sitting all the way in the back. It really helps if the middle person repeats the commands. Also, while it was nice that they took photos and videos of the trip, they didnt come out so well. The photos all have water spots (obviously, we are in the water) but the times where we stop for photos, the camera can be wiped before taking the photo. Also the process of getting the photos is not so smooth yet -- I think that could be improved. Anyway, I still would go out with these guys again!

Tips:
-bring your own waterproof camera!
-bring old sneakers or water shoes
-everything you are wearing will get completely soaking wet
-everything that gets wet will smell like HELL later (I don't know what's in the river) so I took everything into the shower and washed it by hand
-when you hear "6-7 foot waterfalls" don't cr@p your pants. Its not straight drops like off a cliff. There is a drop, and you might scream, but its maybe a 30 degree drop which the raft will take you down and bump you around a bit.

Thank you very much for your posted comments.

Yes It was a blast ! Good luck that we had an alternate river for you on flooded conditions. In some other river runs there is no other choice than turning back and hopefully on time to do something else. Fortunately it happens in 3 out of 100 trips !

“Excellent tour with a good organization”
Reviewed December 20, 2012

We took the 7 days Chagres and San Blas adventure. It is actually the combination of 2 tours and both of them are worth it. The first tour was the rafting, including a night in an Embera village. We went to a village that has not been visited much by tourists. The experience was more genuine.

The guide Chris made us a great surprise : he took us to the Miraflores Locks which was not planned nor included at the beginning.

We spent the four next days on a private island in the San Blas : paradise ! We liked the fact that we could decide of our own activities (Kayak, snorkling, resting, etc). During all the time, our guides Chris and Fabian were always ahead of our needs. The food was good too.
Overall, the organization was excellent and we would recommand the trip to anybody.

Thank you very much for your kind words.

Definitely this is my personal best packaged trip there is in Panama. So contrasting destinations and so equally great. 4x4, hiking, rafting, camping at Chagres National Park with its pristine jungle, gorgeous river, Embera Culture. And them sea kayaking, snorkling and camping in the Archipelago of San Blas, with its pristine coral reef islands and the Guna native culture.

This was a full 7 days itinerary, if you want another destination within Panama that is totally different extend your stay with a couple of extra nights at Boquete to do hiking, zip line, rafting, mountain biking, visit coffee farms, or just relaxed at this gorgeous mountain town.
