“Good quality food at a sensible price”
Reviewed April 7, 2014

We visited this restaurant on a quick visit to Panama City, it was walking distance from our hotel so kind of chose itself. The outside was not particularly ostentatious but the quality of the vehicles outside suggested people in the know were travelling here. We went in and again it was not ostentatious but the atmosphere was freindly and there were clearly more locals than tourists. I had a prawn dish and my wife found several good vegetarian options. Overall there was a good choice on the menu but they specialised in seafood and I found the standard excellent. On this Friday evening there was a good jazz trio playing and the total cost was around 60 USD with wine.

Good atmosphere, good food and and sensible price.

“First Introduction to Peruvian Food”
Reviewed March 29, 2014

We saw the restaurant while just walking around. They had a menu for us in English which made our decision to stay! Everything sounded so good so we decided to try a couple of appetizers (ranging from $7-$10) and go from there. We started with Machu picchu (ahi) and causa serrana (layered potatoes and beef) Both were excellent so we ordered an entree (ranging from $13-$18), trying a typical peruvian meal of the chicken in a peruvian yellow chili & nut sauce. We were very disappointed in this dish because the chicken looked and tasted like canned chicken. The food around us looked great, the place was busy, and the waiter tried hard to accommodate us with our broken spanish and his broken english. I would definitely eat here again, but would stay away from the chicken.

“Filet Minon' exellent”
Reviewed March 20, 2014

We found this restaurant to be good in Boquete, Panama but this location in Panama City is wonderful. The location is a brief walk from Hotel Milan. From the Hilton Garden Inn it is about six blocks.

Four of us ate for a last meal together and our Danish family wanted beef! Three of us had the filet, medium, smothered in mushroom sauce. It was a generous portion of delicious beef with a choice of side dishes, I had mashed potatoes and the others chose French fries. My husband chose the breaded sea bass and it was quite good too.

Our Danish family said it was a steak as good as any they had in Denmark.

Clean, good ambience, generous glass of wine, service was excellent as well. Lovely place, we arrived early and it as quiet bit soon was full and people enjoyed a wide variety of menu selections. We enjoyed our meal and everyone was completely satisfied afterward. Price was only 16,95 for an excellent meal each.

“Peruvian dinner in Panama”
Reviewed March 12, 2014

We had dinner here that was excellent. I had Grilled shrimp and my husband had sauteed seafood with an excellent "semi soy sauce". Both our meals were cooked well and reasonably priced. We decided to be brave and ordered a "new-to-us" appetizer, Grilled Octopus. It was very tast and not chewy at all. The lime it came with added a great touch. I ordered the Classic Pisco Sour, which was made with an egg white and it was very good. My husband ordered a Passion Fruit Pisco Sour (he loves Passion Fruit) and the sweet clashed with the sour. He would go traditional next time. We tried to order dessert but they were out of our two top choices, Passion Fruit Pie and Lemon Pie-and this was early in the evening (Tuesday). This is the first restaurant that had my beloved Chardonnay since the Hard Rock Cafe, so it was great for me. Recommend this place as long as you enjoy seafood. We ate outside which was very pleasant.
