Unfortunately this restaurant is attached to the Amador Country Inn & Suites and provides room service for the hotel. Due to necessity and convenience I ate and/or drank at this place 4 times during my stay. Each time was an unpleasant experience. With the exception of 2 male waiters who were quite good, all the other waiters and hostesses were rude and completely unwelcoming. I spoke Spanish but this didn't seem to help anyway.
The night I needed Room Service - the first time I called, it rang out with no-one answering. I rang again and eventually someone picked up, only to then hang up on me. I called back and they pretended they couldn't hear me and hung up. This happened twice. I then called Reception in the hotel and asked if they could hear me - of course they could. I called the restaurant again and no answer. I called Reception again to ask if perhaps their restaurant was closed (at 6.30pm on a Saturday night) - of course it wasn't, so Reception offered to call the restaurant for me. Eventually, after waiting another couple of minutes for someone to come to the phone, I got to place my order.
The food is average at best. The outside seating is ok but take a sweater if you want to sit inside because the air con is set to freeze.
I really hope I caught them on a bad weekend and that this is the exception to the norm.
