“expat hangout and worth seeing ...as well as tasting”
Reviewed June 2, 2011

This is an expat hangout and has a spectacular atmosphere, just up and around the corner from spanish panama language school. It is worth seeing just to check out the attractive decor. Gary a great guy. Pangea seems to be some sort of European chain.

“Nice place”
Reviewed December 3, 2010

This is a nice place and the atmosphere is very good. I've only been once although I'll probably go back. There are better restaurants in the city for the same kind of price though so...

“Cool atmosphere and very good food & service”
Reviewed April 27, 2010

We came in for dinner at 10pm and were seated in the Havana room. I really wish that I hadn't eaten a snack at 5:30 because I wasn't that hungry. I ordered the beef carpaccio appetizer which was very good. My boyfriend ordered a steak. It was overcooked more than he liked but he ate it instead of sending it back because he said that it was good. The service was very good here. I really kick myself for not walking around the restaurant and checking out the other themed rooms.

“Going Around the World....”
Reviewed April 1, 2010

Ate here a couple of nights ago and this place is a keeper. The Pangea staff was outstanding and added to the great atmosphere always making sure our glasses were full and meal was to our liking with out hanging over your shoulder. I had a seabass plate that was really good and not over sauced like at other places and enjoyed the setting of the Morocco room. If you want to take a group of friends to a really good place to eat and enjoy the experience of the different themed rooms then the Pangea is the place to take them. You will not regret it.

“There is nothing like this in Panama City!”
Reviewed January 30, 2010

This place has a British Colonial Tropcial theme. There are 6 seperate rooms: Nairobi, Singapore, Havana, Marrakesh, Rio and Bombay Patio. Each is exquisitely decorated. Once you arrive you never want to leave. The food is international, reasonably priced and very good. The service - a young and enthusiastic wait staff - is very rare in Panama City. A very pleasant surprise for the seasond Panama City foodaholic. The kitchen is staffed with cooks from Brazil, Peru and Panama -- another young and enthusiatic team. We ordered Brazilian feiojuada, Corviina with Tamarind sauce and an exceptional Filet Mignon with blue cheese sauce. The house martini - the Pangea- is to die for. It is made of Bailey's, Amaretto and Blue Curacao. We topped it off with cheese cake, flan maracuya, and a chocloate hedgehog. The expresso and cafe americano were both dark and rich. You HAVE to try this place!
