Beautifully set in the rainforest, this hotel is extremely comfortable, clean and quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful. The complementary breakfast had a lot of variety and included omelettes made to order. The location was perfect for us as we didn't want to drive in Panama City. We were planning on driving to David and chose this hotel as it was easy to get to the highway. We did drive to the Gamboa Rainforest and to the Locks and it was no problem. All the staff were friendly and helpful, especially Franklin (the manager) and another employee (I forget her name) who went out of her way to help us with our car rental and arranged for Hertz to deliver the car to the hotel. We took advantage of the free shuttle (offered daily) to the Albrook Mall. We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and plan to stay 1 more night before we head home. It is a bit expensive to get to the airport (around $60) but for us it was money well spent as it saved us a lot of stress driving in Panama City's busy and navigating the confusing streets, chaotic drivers, and construction. We will definitely be back!
(We hired a private driver - Antonio, email: arocha68@gmail.com - to tour the city ($25/h for 4 people) who took us to many great places while telling us about the history and culture. (We hired a private driver - Antonio, email: arocha68@gmail.com - to tour the city ($25/h for 4 people) who took us to many great places while telling us about the history and culture. He always promptly responded to our emails. We were impressed by his genuineness and honesty as he wanted to show us what interested us the most. We also had him pick us up from the airport for $60 and he was waiting for us with our name on a sign even though our flight was 1 hour late.)More
