What a wonderful surprise to check into this hotel. The rooms were beautiful and clean. The staff was extremely helpful especially with our limited Spanish. They arranged a driver to pick us up at PTY which was a big help as our plane did not land until 10 pm and we were exhausted so the last thing we needed was to be hassled about fares or language problems. They also arranged, after we checked in about 11:30 pm, for a private guide (jean Paul) the next morning who spoke English and knew just where to take us. We ate dinner both nights in the hotel and it was very good as was the breakfast buffet each morning. We then spent our last night in the country back at the Toscana Inn and again they arranged for our transportation to the airport. Jose, the Bell Captain, provided exemplary service at all times and Gretta was most helpful via email with answering questions and making driver arrangements before our trip. The hotel has WIFI and a small computer room with two computers and a printer for guest use. We are going back in April and will stay again at this hotel

Room Tip: We were in room 304 but I suspect that all of the rooms are very nice.

We drove to this hotel from the airport and had no problems getting there (which cannot be said for our other "adventures" in the city, even with GPS). The room was lovely, clean and comfortable. Really appreciated the old world flair. The staff was courteous and professional. The hotel is in an interesting area with numerous shops, restaurants and even casinos. We walked around the had numerous restaurant choices.
Breakfast was tasty and served in a lovely setting. We would definitely stay at the Toscana Inn again.

A typical example of a good choice through Trip Advisor. Had one night to spend in Panama City after a long flight and not much ideas on where to sty, so we followed what seemed to be a rather unanimous choice of TA reviewers. Not disappointed. Location is excellent, our room was rather large and well equipped and the king bed excellent. Front desk was both smiling and efficient (not quite obvious in Panama!) and the breakfast (a buffet) was pretty good. Our bathroom was however a bit worn and small... So, far from luxury, but nevertheless a very good choice for a decent price. To be recommended.

What should have taken 25 minutes, took over 2 hours. I assured my bride that I knew how to get from the airport to our downtown hotel. I didn't. In fact I did not get lost once but at least four or five times. Before you judge me harshly, the street signs are not that well visible or helpful to a person with my limited knowledge of Spanish and the driving skills of native Panamanian.

With the above mentioned, we found the Toscana Inn just before 2am, yes that right 2 in the morning. Upon arrival, Mr bride informed the front desk that I needed an adult beverage to relieve the pounding of my head on the steering wheel after wrong turn after wrong turn. We were provided two complimentary wines and shown directly to a large, well decorated room. We stayed there happily for three days, enjoying the complimentary breakfast that changed menus each day. We would definitively go back.

Great value for an exceptional hotel. Clean throughout- elevators, rooms, dining. Helpful staff.
Hot breakfast. Close to many restaurants - on a fairly quiet street in the center of city.
Also convenient for overnight stay between flights. cannot understand why Panama City does not have hotels located close to the airport.

The food is very good, in a very safe walking/shoppping area in Panama City. The staff is excellent. The rooms are spotless, sheets are great, and they have good wi-fi. The staff are friendly and helpful. They actually make wake up calls on time even if 4 am! The Panamanian breakfast is great - however if you only eat your own country's food the staff will try and make that for you. They do offer cereals and eggs but try their breakfast and fruit. The staff is very helpful with where to go and what to do - ie car rentals, manicures etc. Dinners were great at the hotel. The only downfall was booking through Tripadvisor - horrid experience. No reservation when I arrived at midnight and it took me months to get a refund. I booked direct with the hotel the next time and absolutely no problems. Even the staff spent close to two hours on the phone with them trying to sort it all out.

Room Tip: The rooftop patio is a delight in the evening.

This was our third time staying at the Toscana Inn and they did not dissapoint. It was nice to be remembered although we only visit once annually. The service was great, our room was clean and the staff was very attentive. It was nice to have a hot breakfast offering. Although I am a picky eater I still managed to put a decent meal together. The hotel is within walking distance to other restaurants and convenient to get to Allbrook airport via taxi. We will definitely return again.
