“Recommended by locals”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

We were on a Panama Canal cruise and had lunch with friends who retired there. They recommended Lenos & Carbon, located right by the wharf where you board the shuttle boats to the cruise ships. It was surprisingly non-touristy, low cost, and with tasty food. I enjoyed the grilled fish. Service was good and no language problem. Nice view of the water and Panama City in the distance.

“Lenos”
Reviewed June 13, 2013

We have been to 2 locations of the Lenos & Carbon. One is in El Dorado and the other is out on Amador. El Dorado is in what we would call a more residential family area. Not too many tourists get out that way unless they have family in Panama as we do. Lenos on Amador however is in a more tourist area. When the US occupied Panama, this area was basically off limits to the locals. Now that Panama is in control of their destiny, these previously closed areas have been developed with lots of eateries and shops. Amador is also a place for the cruise ships and other yachts. Lenos is a little pricey but the food is excellent. A wide choice of dishes. Right on the water so that you can enjoy the natural ambiance that is abundant. Great for families..

“Good food good price.”
Reviewed June 7, 2013 via mobile

Good barbeque style. There are many of this franchise restaurants in different malls and all are equally good. You see the menu in the board in front of the cashier and after you paid you look for a seat around to wait for your food. All meats have a salad, vegetable rice, a sweet delicious plantain and a tortilla very well done. The churrasco is the perfect choice for the size and price and taste delicious and the pork ribs are marvelous with that spicy sweet bbq sauce. Their hamburguer is one of my best ever ate, juicy and savory with perfect fried fries. They got a mix specialty with beef pork and chicken accompany with fried plantains and fries that is a good option for big families at excellent price.

“Good quality food, decent prices, bad experience”
Reviewed May 25, 2013

This restaurant is a chain, with independent locations where you can sit and eat and get served, and several small locations in malls where you order your meal at the counter, and eat in the mall food court. My first experience eating here involves the location inside the Multi Plaza Mall. I ordered the grilled chicken breast, which comes with rice, salad, fries and a drink. The portion was generous, the food was good, and I paid under $10. You can get a good meal here for about half the cost of other restaurants for the same type of meal.

Although, the service I received was terrible. I'm not 100% fluent in Spanish, and when ordering from the counter the girl was speaking much too fast for me; I kindly asked her to slow down, and she rolled her eyes at me, sighed, and repeated herself in a very strong tone. She also never made eye contact with me. This experience was so upsetting to me. However, it's important to note that the attitude of this employee is not uncommon among the customer service industry. Bad customer service, arrogant and rude behavior is common in all of Panama.

“Visit Amador for great food and great view”
Reviewed May 17, 2013

We had the best meal of our vacation here. The chicken was incredible. The prices were reasonable and the service was ok - a bit slow compared to North America, but not bad. The food was superb and the portions were large. Watch - the prices include tip and we saw many people double tip. Well worth the trip to Amador to eat here.
