I spent a couple of nights at this hotel because it was conveniently located between our beach vacation destination and the airport. Our arrival flight was very late and our departure flight very early.

In both occasions the bellmen greeted me like I was a very frequent guest, the room is large and comfortable and the bathrooms are luxurious, full of marble, unlike other Holiday Inns I have stayed before.

We had a "Parrillada Sunday" at the pool and was extremely delicious, not pricey at all.

We took advantage of the shuttle to the airport early morning and it was only a 15 minute trip.

Definitely a hotel worth staying at!!

Room Tip: If you want to see your kids play at the pool, get pool view, otherwise get lake view as it has a sp...

The Holiday Inn in Managua arranged our event very well, with only minor hiccups. Room was very good, friendly and effective service at front desk, and they have a reasonnably priced, good restaurant. The overall impression was that this is a very professionally run place. I was surprised because, in Europe, Holiday Inn is rather a budget chain. In Managua it was clearly a cut above average. Recommended.

Room Tip: I believe the 5th floor is the best. Rooms at the back side have better view.

My parents and I checked in to spend the last night of our trip closer to the airport.

Upon arrival the FD clerk could neither cut us keys for our room, nor print out a receipt for our rooms or prepaid taxi for the morning. He offered us three drink vouchers as a sorry gesture.

We had to have security take us to our rooms and let us in.

We dumped our things, got a bit acclimated, then went to the pool bar to use our vouchers. The non-English speaking barkeep swept them up without comment and walked away to complete a transaction with another client, then returned to take our orders. I do speak some Spanish, but I'm not completely fluent and require a bit of slower chat to understand...

Kind of odd that a beer, a cocktail, and a soda were all $5 each (120 cordobas), but we overlooked that and my parents went to bed (security let them into their room). I stayed and had a snack and a cocktail, then went to bed (like, 9 p.m. and the bellman let me into my room).

At 10:00 p.m., my room phone rang and I picked it up expecting my parents. It was the bartender who babbled something unintelligible. I was dead asleep and told him to get someone else to call me, hung up, figuring if there was a real problem I'd hear back in the morning.

In the morning I approached the front desk to inquire why the bartender called me, but they were unable to tell me because their property management system was down and they couldn't get an answer from the night auditor nor their pcs. We had to leave without closing out our rooms.

So, we left.

Bottom line: they need to get a better IT manager!!! Stuff exploding all over the place and clueless employees in the face of Platinum guests is guaranteeing no-repeat-guests. I wouldn't stay again.

Room Tip: Rooms are very nice, don't think you can choose a bad one

We (3 adults) arrived to discover that one of our rooms had been cancelled. We had not been notified in advance. We were initially told that we would have to pay full retail price for the second room. However, the desk clerk then got in touch with the manager, and eventually, they honored the rate we had booked at. While we were waiting, the desk clerk did give us coupons to use at the hotel bar. The pool area was clean and very attractive, and staff were pleasant.
Though both rooms were "non-smoking" one of the rooms reeked of smoke and had lots of cigarette burns in the carpet, and the AC in the smoky room was not functioning correctly.
We also were under the impression that the shuttle to the airport was included, but it was $9/person. The shuttle was clean and prompt.
We also ate at the hotel restaurant. It was quite expensive (like a mid-range American restaurant) compared to our meals in Granada and Masaya. Though the presentation was nice, the food was uninspiring, not exceptional. The service was good.

Nice location with easy access to all points of interest in Managua and beyond. From the moment one checks in through the moment one leaves... it is everything one wishes; it is attention, neatness, excellent food, quite, service, professionalism and surprisingly inexpensive. I am a world traveler and seldom feel this way about a home... I mean, a hotel.

Nicaragua in general is a great place to travel to. THE PEOPLE..make it so..always acknowledging, sweet, friendly, helpful and smiling. Have stayed here twice..and just love it...Great food, by their wonderful chefs, excellent service, spacious room, a casino on the premises..friendly well known area cab drivers..and of course a professional atmosphere..Just a really nice place..surely there are many others..but we do like it here very much..one minor thing..as a result of wear and tear and aging..a few things need to be improved and or replace..carpeting with multiple old stains, lampshades..as was furniture in the room..some need to be replaced for sure..as the really do look bad..

Great hotel. There is one cool leisure area with bar, gym and pool. The breakfast is good, you can find fresh bread and fruits and other meals. The hotel has one good location and the room is very comfortable and cozy. Don't have nothing to complain about it. The hotel should have one free wi-fi.
