Each time we stay at Mozonte, we regret it. The rooms are okay, but the website photos certainly don't portray the hotel's grounds properly. Great photos of an okay place. The reason I am giving Mozonte a poor review is the service. The front dest has no idea what they are doing. Each time we made a reservation for a certain room, arrived, and it wasn't available or they tried to charge us a higher price upon arrival. The receptionist always seems to be confused.

Breakfast is free, but almost not worth it. Service there was terrible, too. When we asked for things on the menu, the server acted like she didn't know what we were talking about and responded with "oh, you want THAT???" on a couple of occasions. When asked about the juice that comes with breakfast, she seemed like she had no idea and came back 30 minutes later with juice.

Long story short: Management needs some work. Communication on all levels need drastic improvement. If you need a place to stay in Managua, check it out, but don't expect to not be frustrated with the service.

We stayed at this hotel for our first night in Nicaragua. First thing to mention is that at the airport when you go through customs you have to pay $10 per person in cash. American works.

We had a few bumps with the hotel as they need to update their postings on line. Bookings.com has them offering a few airport shuttle but it is actually $15. Not a bad price considering it is about 30 minutes from the airport. Bookings.com did an amazing job and so did the hotel in getting this sorted out for us. Second, one of their sites says 24 hour room service. Their restaurant and bar close at 10 pm. There is nothing close by if you arrive late. Again, the hotel was amazing in helping us and took us to a place to buy drinks and snacks. We stayed in the new side across the street. The room was clean and the A/C was needed and enjoyed. They do have pump soap amd shampoo and plenty of hot water. Breakfast is a buffet of fresh fruit, fried eggs, pinto gallo, pancakes, coffee and juice. We got a taxi back to the airport for two of us for $8 outside the hotel.

I travel on business through Managua often, and I have stayed at this hotel numerous times. It used to be very homey and the customer service was excellent. However in the past couple of years, since they expanded their hotel to the other side of the street, things have radically changed. Among other things they have new management and staff, and in my opinion, they now focus on quantity of clients, rather than on customer service.

Examples of this are several incidents of botched reservations, and a stay of several days where the pool was green with algae and closed for almost every day my stay.

In addition, the room quality varies greatly from one room to another. Some have saggy beds and ancient TVs. One has an A/C unit that has no control except high, which will make your room less than 60 degrees in a short time. So if you had a good room last time and plan on going back, be aware.

Sadly, the bottom line for me is that I have decided that it has gotten so bad that I recently chose to start staying elsewhere. To me, it's a shame, because I used to really enjoy my stays there. Finally, I do not consider myself to be particularly picky about hotel rooms, but so many things contributed to unpleasant stays that I made the decision to move.

Room Tip: About 75% of the time when I made a written reservation requesting a specific room number (and recei...

An extraordinary Trip in family, receptionists and staff in general were well friendly, the atmosphere is warm with the amenities offered. We liked the food “gallopinta”. Thank you Mozonte, we will back soon!

Our room for four guests was clean, with 4 single beds, a nice sized bathroom and our very own lizard for eating insects. This was our first experience in Nicaragua. Meals were good and service too. Air conditioning system works well to cool the room quickly.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the newer part of the hotel.

This hotel was decent, but very far from the airport. Not close to any tourist attractions and the closest restaurant was the one in the hotel. The place was noisy, we were woke up every morning with SOMETHING and finally asked to switch rooms. Only some rooms have hot water and the beds and pillows were very uncomfortable. I wouldn't recommend staying in Managua at all, just move along to another city ASAP. We were mugged while walking to find a restaurant . Most of the staff was nice, and the AC worked well.

Ok, You really do get what you pay for but this place offers a bit less even for that. The room appeared clean but later that night the lazed hiding behind the television came out to play. That was ok but the cockroach in the bathroom was not.
The room was a nice size but we were told that we had a king size bed. It was two small beds pushed together. If was very uncomfortable
The fan and AC worked fine and the shower was sufficient

The pool was nice but a jacuzzi was not warm. Why have it then?
The staff is very nice so the is no negative reflection on them. The owners need to step up and make the corrections
As for breakfast, why provide a menu when you only serve what you decide to give us? My wife wanted pancakes but we could only get the tipico, additionally , there was no milk or cream for the coffee.
There are better hotels nearby for a minor increase in price.
