I was really surprised by the visit to this restaurant, first because it was packed with guests on a Wednesday night, which is not the norm in Latinamerica, second because everyone in San Salvador knew about it, and third because the overall experience exceeded my expectations.
I am debating between 4 & 5 points in my evaluation, and sticking to 4 because probably some minor details were missing to make it world class outstanding level.
I had the mixed carpaccio as the entrance, and then the Pomodoro Gnocchi. Both of them were really good. The house wine is OK, but no more. Service is very good, and fully in line with local standards. It is difficult to picture a placebo Dan Salvador with poor service.
Do go, try to Make reservations. Enjoy!
