“Very scenic country”
Reviewed August 22, 2013 via mobile

Was in San Salvador a couple of years ago
Took the bus from guetamala city
Easy to do
Border police all armed with machine guns though
Adds a nice edginess
This office is useful to book stuff if you are traveling independent
Nice enough people and place
Good seafood only

“MiTur is the best!”
Reviewed September 7, 2012

My wife and I are very comfortable traveling throughout El Salvador, but even so, we were excited to get great ideas from MiTur (Ministry of Tourism/Ministero de Turismo). Most importantly, when we had friends and family from the U.S.A. come to visit and we took them on tours, MiTur provided -- at no cost (we provided food and tipped them at the end of each day) -- two official police officers (with M-16's, etc.) and they took really, really good, thoughtful care of our family. They rode in the cars with us, stood outside the bathroom when somebody needed to go, took walks on trails with the kids, etc.

MiTur's office team was so very helpful, professional, informative, and excited to be part of our planning experience.

THANK YOU, MIL GRACIAS, MiTur!

Reviewed September 7, 2012

I was hoping to see some places, but the tours I was interested in were only available on weekends and I was only there Monday through Thursday.

we booked a trip for the cascades and it was cancelled because there wasn't enough people. They made arrangements for us to be a part of another tour but, they should of given us a better discount

“EL TUNCO BEACH EL SALVADOR IS AWESOME!”
Reviewed August 23, 2011

Since last time i visited playa tunco, I was really impressed with all the changes made in the boulevard and the beach area. restaurants offert good seafood and selected drinks. Sunshine, watching the surfers figthing with the waves, people waking in the sand and the tunco rock, makes you have the sensation to be in the paradise. I really recomend el tuco beach, el salvador.
If you are Surfer and read this critic, i swear. visit el tunco beach in El Salvador. Criminal situation is low there. The experience is unique. enjoy and tell me later!
