Besides lacking some music, they had the best variety in beers I've seen so far in San Salvador. From Guinness and Newcastle to Pilsener.

The food was good, nothing fancy. But definitely a nice flavor.

Service and food delivery was quick and effective.

Definitely recommend the nachos for you to share amongst friends. Pretty big serving size and amazing flavors.

“Delicious Nachos at LacaLaca”
Reviewed September 18, 2013

A fun, casual-modern, open atmosphere greets you at Lacalaca with indoor and outdoor seating. We did have about a 20 minute wait that was so worth it when we were served the most generous plate of nachos. The homemade tortilla chips were topped with your choice of meats. We chose the chilorio (slow simmered pork fried with a chili sauce) which was a new preparation of pork for us and a mouth watering compliment to the other traditional nacho ingredients. We followed the nachos with a variety of tacos to again try the various meats available and the outstanding homemade salsas. The staff was friendly and food arrived at the table quickly. The quality of the food and very reasonable prices make us wish we could return often.

“Fantastic Mexican food!”
Reviewed September 10, 2013

The food is very good and reasonably priced. Service is very fast and friendly. They get busy, so you may need to wait for a table, but you will be given a 8oz Corona to help pass the time.

I am not a big beer drinker, but the Micheladas are excellent.

I strongly recommend the sopes (al pastor is the best, but carne asada are also excellent).

“Best mexican food in El Salvador”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

This restaurant is brand new! Very good food and the "salsas" are the best they have 4 different styles, the tacos are ok but is not the best option, in my opinion the "burritos" and tortas are the best option, on weekends they are open 24 hours, the place is always pack, is very cheap, about 8-10 dls very reasonable, and super yummy!

“Great Mexican Food!”
Reviewed September 1, 2013

Some El Salvadoran friends took me here on my last night in the country and it was one of the best meals I had during my stay. The menu is mostly Tex Mex (burritos, fajitas, etc.) you are not going to get guisado, cemita, etc. but that is okay. The food is well prepared, service is prompt. And they are busy! So make reservations or get their before the dinner rush. One minor detail, I see this place listed as Laca Laca on Trip Advisor but the locals were calling it La Calaca. It is about 10 minutes from the Holiday Inn St Elena.
