Description: At Esperanto, we specialize in innovative, Salvadoran haute cuisine that highlights local and seasonal products in a fine dining atmosphere. Our space also serves as a rotating art gallery, featuring new collections from El Salvador's vibrant art scene. Hidden behind the guise of "El Salvador only has the rainy & dry seasons" is a vibrant cycle of micro-seasons that delivers brilliant native ingredients year round. The availability of these fruit, vegetables, mushrooms and flowers ranges widely from a few weeks to a just few hours. At Esperanto, we work closely with a wide variety of local farmers and foragers to bring these special, limited availability, products to your table. Our chef works closely with clients to design unique, gourmet menus for special events, private catering, weddings and business events.

“Amazing! Cannot miss it!!!!”
Reviewed July 9, 2013 via mobile

I went to Esperanto in one of my business trips to El Salvador after a couple of recommendations from local. I have to say that the whole experience is great: delicious gourmet fusion food, Salvadorian haute cuisine, combination of local and international ingreddients turn out to be fantastic ideas. The service is great from beginning to end, and if you happen to be at an early hour you manage to get exclusive service. And i loved the fact that we got appetizers on the house. And the price is great (maybe expensive for locals) but for international travelers is extremely decent (around 40 USD per person).

“More of the same”
Reviewed May 6, 2013

This is exactly the type of restaurant that is pretty, well decorated, nice in every way.... So, you would expect the same about their food.... WRONG ! It is more of the same, with a high tag price. Please: offer me something else but grilled salmón? apple pie? Caprese Salad? tiramisu ? Come on ! Be more creative! You can do better than that Esperanto......

Thank you for your honest feedback. We are pleased that you enjoyed the decor and service. However, we are unclear on the menu items that you mentioned because as a Salvadoran fine dining establishment, we have never had apple pie or caprese salad on our menu. We take pride in using Central American ingredients in our original recipes. We invite you to visit our website, Facebook and Instagram accounts to view our menu and see photos of our plates. We are sorry that you didn't have the experience that we work hard to offer to all of our clients. We look forward to having you as a guest in the future.

“Good food, nice ambiance!”
Reviewed March 24, 2013

Food is a creative design of flavors, combinations of salvadorian traditional food with gourmet elements build a very interesting short menu, I loved the strong ethnic components like cilantro. All the food is tasty, well prepared and well presented. Great location between Col. Escalon and San Benito. Has a nice terrace (outdoor seating) and small rooms for private dining. Good wine list.
