You pay extra for this at the Museum cashier desk. Go up the stairs to the next floor and work backwards into the hillside, until you get to the glass pannelled base of the structure, entering up more stairs. Then go "behind you" to the small door over the stairs. You may need to requst the lift operator, some tricky narrow and steep stairs as well as the lift from there. Worth the money for the outstanding views.

The Soviet Pride... This is a very big statue representing the Soviet Motherland... It is a very nice spot in Kiev, with many people visiting and quite a lot of things to see, including huge statutes of many figures from the war periods and some soviet machines nearby. The statute looks strict and impersonates the soviet feeling. I really enjoyed it. I don't give it a 5 rating because it was closed to the public and we couldn't go up to the top to get an overview of Kiev.
If you don't know how to read/speak Ukrainian or Russian, it is nice to try and guess the names of the Soviet cities near the small lake with the soldier in it.

A memorial well worth seeing, brilliant veiws of the city across the river Dnipro. The memorial in the walk through tunnel is well worth a look, I recommend visiting this well worth the walk around the memorial.

Very imposing monument, well worth visiting, no charge. The adjacent WW2 Patriotic War museum is just under it, also worthwhile, but has a fee.
